Do you know what I care about in my movers? Sincerity, honesty, and professionalism. Tammy (owner - female and family ran which is extra cool to support), met and exceeded my expectations in regards to all three of those attributes. Stop searching, this the best movers in Austin.

I had a small-office move: two desks, four file cabinets, three chairs and some shelves. It was big enough that I didn't want to do it myself or task my employees with it, but I was worried about it being too small (or too expensive) for professional movers. Blue Whale gave me a very reasonable guaranteed price based on the dimensions alone, got me scheduled quickly, arrived and finished on time, and handled everything perfectly. I'm so glad I thought of them based on seeing their moving vans around Austin for decades. I figured that if they've been in business for such a long time, they have to be good, and they are top notch.

I cannot explain what an awful experience working with these guys was. They broke or damaged most of furniture and still haven't compensated me for anything a year later. I'm not sure they actually even have insurance as they claimed. I hired them to move me into storage while I was looking for a new house and the guy in charge that day was in a huge hurry, and didn't want to wrap anything, even though I had discussed in detail with the owner about what needed to be wrapped and the pads that would be needed, etc. I literally had to argue with him to plastic wrap white upholstered furniture. They also ended up leaving parts of my bookcase from DWR in the grass in the front yard; Thank god I found them as I was turning over the keys to the house. Then they stacked my stuff sky high in the storage unit, with barely any pads, despite my constant pleading with him to just use all the space I had rented. He slid brushed steel pieces directly on the cement with no pads. The lead guy completely ignored everything I said about MY furniture even though I was the client. I was afraid of what they might have damaged and didn't want any deniability, as to who caused the damage, so after talking to the owner, hearing a ton of fake apologies and getting a promise he would personally move me this time, I hired Brick x Brick again to move me into my new house. But then he sent the exact same guys and didn't ever show up himself. Of course, my antique porcelain patisserie table handed down in my family had not been wrapped and was broken in half (despite me telling them specifically that had to be treated carefully), and almost everything was dinged and scratched up. I offered to only claim for repair (for what could be repaired) and even got estimates from the place he recommended. Over $5K in damages and that isn't even replacement costs. The owner, Tim, said repeatedly he would take care of it, but hasn't. It's been almost a year. I think he's just a liar and clearly has zero business ethics. Don't get conned into using them.

The movers went above and beyond the call of duty. Before they even unpacked the truck I told them that the most difficult part about this entire move is going to be my deciding which room each rug should go in. After they hauled out a large and extremely heavy area rug they would unfurled it and lay it out in a room of my choice. If I thought it would go better in another room they were happy to roll it back up and put it in another room without any griping whatsoever. These guys worked hard and they're only aim was to please the customer. Fernando, the driver, ran a tight ship; he's the best. I only wish I could compliment the other guys because they were great as well I just didn't know their names. I would highly recommend them to anybody who's looking for a mover.

I scheduled a move with Groovy Movers weeks ago for this morning, and THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. No calls, nothing. Do not use Groovy Movers.

This was our 5th move total and this was by FAR ... THE best move we have ever had!! Robert Winston, Christine Martinez, Dominic Brown, David Prince, and Linda were on time, efficient, friendly, and went out of their way to make us ( the customer) happy. IF ( huge IF ) we ever move again... We would HIGHLY recommend them for any move you need. 100%!! A+ rating across the board!
