Downey Moving Companies 2025

I hired these movers for an appointment at 3pm. They were driving from far so they arrived 50 minutes late. They only wrapped my fridge in plastic, so everything is dusty and my vanity is chipped. Look: if you need 2 guys in a big truck to load up your stuff and transport it, $100 (cash) an hour with a 3 hour minimum is about the best you can get deal wise, but don't expect anything fancy.

I really wanted to give a higher rating. They were pretty great at first. Responsive and helpful, but once your move is complete, they drop you like a hot rock. I was told that we might be getting a refund as we were quoted the maximum. Our move was over a month ago. I have sent no less than 5 e-mails asking if we could expect this refund and it's been crickets. What a shame. On the plus side, the movers that they set us up with were fantastic. If I could ever get a response one way or the other on our refund, I'd change my review, but the fact that I have been left hanging and ignored does not sit well with me.
