I went into my move with high hopes when booking with Melrose Moving based in the reviews but I’m starting to think they are all fake.

Let’s start from the beginning when I initially booked. The person I booked with was an interesting fellow. I got a call back and less than a minute on the phone with him, he tells me he needs to hang up and call me back on a different phone number. It was odd but I ignored it. In hindsight, I probably should have seen this as a red flag and booked elsewhere. Regretfully I paid the deposit.

Leading up to my appointment, I received no follow up confirmation two days before my move like the confirmation email stated. So I decided to follow up. It was only then did I start getting the confirmation that I was all set for my move on 12/14. I was told the crew would arrive between 8am-10am.

The morning of my move no one arrived. No one called to follow up with me or provide an update. I called in at 10am asking for an update. It was only then did they tell me there was an issue with the truck. Why did I have to chase down this information? They told me the crew would now arrive at 11am. No one showed up. I called back in around 11:50am asking for an update because at this point I was so behind schedule. The person I spoke to had no clue what was going on. Luckily the crew ended up arriving at 10mins later. Due to this delay I missed the reservation I had booked for the loading dock at my new apartment and I missed my internet installation. I then had to wait a whole week to get it installed. This may not seem like a big deal but for someone who works from home, it was.

The lack of communication and professionalism is why I will never use this service again. Moving is already so stressful and I hired movers to help the process go smoother. This ended up being nothing but a headache. TRUST MEEEE, spend a little more and book elsewhere.

I had my storage unit for 10 years, it was only supposed to be for 4 months but life happened. I returned a few times and finally moved out in September. Every item was in perfect condition. The temperature controlled environment kept all my pictures and paintings in perfect shape. The facility is always clean and the customer service is the best I’ve experienced. If I ever need a storage unit in LA again, I’d definitely use them.
