While I’ve already written a couple of reviews on how awesome Kearney Movers are!! I have to follow up with more of the story!! First of all, they went out of their way to bail me out of a hideous last minute situation with the movers I had planned on partly because of several favorable reviews here and a less expensive original estimate!. However, at 5:00 pm the DAY before the move was to start, they sent me a ‘final estimate’ of the move cost which was more than TRIPLE their original estimate and despite the fact that a lot of work we did was not noticed…the second price went up!! Additionally they told me that they could not come out as scheduled if I didn’t sign the newly revised third estimate which was now up to was $15,xxx.xx from an original $6,xxx!!!Hence the frantic call to JP at Kearney who came back out to my house ON A Friday night and gave me what I thought was going to be that high estimate, but while there and seeing all that we had done, he reassured me that the cost would come in well below his original ! And after some serious rearranging of his life he scheduled packers and movers for Monday!! I extended closing on my house…JP said they would be out of the house in time for the closing to go as scheduled for the next day on Tuesday afternoon!…the other mover was stretching things our AND was going to charge me an additional $4,500 to load and yet another $4,500 to unload the next day!!! JP said no no no….thats just not what he could imagine. While i was a bit skeptical, I am now a total believer!! It happened on time!! And to make it even sweeter, my final bill was almost half of what his original estimate was!! Yes!! TRUST KEARNEY MOVING! And while I’m at it, the moving and packing guys they sent out were some of the nicest and most helpful people ever. Many of them are long term employees…like 10 to 20 years with the company!! That right there tells me the kind of people I had the privilege of dealing with!!
