These folks first moved us in 2015....moved our furniture out and stored while we did renovations. When we decided to move back to Savannah from our Mid-Georgia farm we called them. Could not ask for better folks, fairer price and attentive performance. Keith, Annette and Luther did a great job. Thanks, folks.
In past smaller moves, I had always moved myself. But with the first time of having to move an entire household, went with movers. I was so very thoroughly impressed with Riley and Sons! From the start, Michele was very helpful to schedule and provide an estimate. Some other companies didn't really inquire as to what we were moving, so I doubted the accuracy of the estimate. Whereas with Michele, she asked very helpful questions to know what we were moving. Then the actual day of the move, our crew arrived exactly on time. They were very careful with our items as there were absolutely no damages or issues. If there were any questions, they asked rather than just assuming. The movers were very efficient with getting things in and securing them within the truck. Nothing but positive feedback for Riley and Sons! Will certainly use them for any future moves without any hesitation.
So my husband is in the military, and we were assigned this company. Turns out, they STOLE FROM US. We called to file a complaint, and we were told that we couldn't until we unpacked everything. Sounds reasonable, but one of their packers called me with a BS story trying to get me to give him information to unlock a phone that he stole. Not only that, I know for a fact that one of them broke some of my glass Tupperware and didn't even bother to throw it away, just left it in the box. I don't know/ won't know what else is missing or damaged until the end of next month.
The worst and unfortunately I had to click on a star to write this review. We did not even get to the initial estimate visit. The rep called me one hour earlier and did not ask but expected I would change my scheduled time because his customer from the military had changed his schedule. He lectured me for my lack of flexibility and hung up on me!... Its gets better, I called what I thought was the office immediately and he answered the phone again. He texted me and lecture me again about the military being their main focus and how I was inflexible and basically how this was my fault....I called the office again today and I spoke to another rep, his name was Brian. I explained about the interaction with Ernie over the weekend. He did not want to hear my story and proceeded to lecture me again about how the military is their business focus. I suggested they put that on their flyers because it does not say anything about treating anyone else not in the military as a bother.. I'm glad it never got further than this. I'm am certain their lack of customer service and basic lack of respect for an individual would show in their service throughout. God forbid if you are a civilian maybe they don't show up at all on the day of your move .How can anyone trust them. I have family members in the armed forces and they were petrified with the story. If the military is their main employer maybe the military needs to be made aware of how this company is handling business and using their name to get away with unprofessional behavior.
From the very first phone call, to their site visit to my home. The women I spoken to were so respectful, friendly, knowledgeable. Whenever I had to call them, they were their, answering all my question. It was smooth sailing with them. The packers, came to the house, packed up. Fast forward to my new destination in TX. The movers (deliverer), kept in contact with me, from the time they left the warehouse to 30 min prior showing up at my new house. Additionally, the office in GA. continued to keep in touch with me, through these many, many months that my house hold items were storage, and that is what really got me!! I love good customer service, and that is just what I received from them. I'm retired military (24 yrs.), so I know what moving is all about. Even though this moved was years after my retirement, it was my best!! Thanks again, for making this move an easy transition for me.
Update to a prior review: I actually had to use them twice this year and Chris was as wonderful as always (which is why I requested him)! They were patient, efficient and FAST!! I can always count on Warren's people to be on time and they moved my stuff as if it were their own! I have used them 5 times in the last 20 years and have recommended them to all my friends & family. Keep up the great work!
I so much appreciate the young mens that came to move me today. Not many can move sufficiently in a timely manner. My family thank them as well. Good workers are hard to find. Thank you again God bless!
