Every aspect of our move was above our expectations. They were very responsive and helpful during every part of preparing, moving and wrapping up after the move. We were treated like we were the only customers they had. The move came in at less than the initially quoted price too. I don’t know how it could have gone better.
In past smaller moves, I had always moved myself. But with the first time of having to move an entire household, went with movers. I was so very thoroughly impressed with Riley and Sons! From the start, Michele was very helpful to schedule and provide an estimate. Some other companies didn't really inquire as to what we were moving, so I doubted the accuracy of the estimate. Whereas with Michele, she asked very helpful questions to know what we were moving. Then the actual day of the move, our crew arrived exactly on time. They were very careful with our items as there were absolutely no damages or issues. If there were any questions, they asked rather than just assuming. The movers were very efficient with getting things in and securing them within the truck. Nothing but positive feedback for Riley and Sons! Will certainly use them for any future moves without any hesitation.
The worst and unfortunately I had to click on a star to write this review. We did not even get to the initial estimate visit. The rep called me one hour earlier and did not ask but expected I would change my scheduled time because his customer from the military had changed his schedule. He lectured me for my lack of flexibility and hung up on me!... Its gets better, I called what I thought was the office immediately and he answered the phone again. He texted me and lecture me again about the military being their main focus and how I was inflexible and basically how this was my fault....I called the office again today and I spoke to another rep, his name was Brian. I explained about the interaction with Ernie over the weekend. He did not want to hear my story and proceeded to lecture me again about how the military is their business focus. I suggested they put that on their flyers because it does not say anything about treating anyone else not in the military as a bother.. I'm glad it never got further than this. I'm am certain their lack of customer service and basic lack of respect for an individual would show in their service throughout. God forbid if you are a civilian maybe they don't show up at all on the day of your move .How can anyone trust them. I have family members in the armed forces and they were petrified with the story. If the military is their main employer maybe the military needs to be made aware of how this company is handling business and using their name to get away with unprofessional behavior.
They were on-time if not a little early, and moved a piano from a friends house to my house. It was an older piano so it has a bunch of internal parts that are delicate. H-S Transfer handled it with great care!! They also performed everything very respectfully towards the current COVID crisis - keeping as much distance as possible. We will be recurring customers
Update to a prior review: I actually had to use them twice this year and Chris was as wonderful as always (which is why I requested him)! They were patient, efficient and FAST!! I can always count on Warren's people to be on time and they moved my stuff as if it were their own! I have used them 5 times in the last 20 years and have recommended them to all my friends & family. Keep up the great work!
Five Star Moving did an excellent job moving large oversized boxes into my new construction commercial building. They arrived on time and ready to perform work immediately upon arrival. They were careful and conscientious of the new floors and freshly painted walls inside as they performed their work. All boxes were placed and stacked neatly exactly where I had requested. I was extremely pleased with the job that was done and will definitely use this company again! -Jennifer R.
