Movers beware! Packrat randomly cancelled my order without notice. I had booked a container several weeks ahead of my move through their call center. Sales person was friendly and produced a fair quote for my interstate move. Leading up to the day the container was to be delivered to my home I heard nothing about an ETA. On the scheduled day of delivery, I phoned the call center and a rep told me my order had been cancelled the day before. She went on to say that my driveway (20 ft wide by 30 ft long) wasn't big enough to accommodate the 8 ft x 16 container. This despite me detailing the size of my driveway when I had initially made the reservation. Luckily, PODS was able to get me a container the next day and quoted me nearly $500 less for my move. For folks considering Packrats, just go with PODS and save yourself the potential aggravation.

We had a challenging spot for our storage pod to be placed. The driver who dropped the pod off was skilled and managed to avoid obstacles and land the pod on the side of our house.

The driver who came to pick up the pod first drove onto a patch of plants and maneuvered on the plants in order to line the truck with the pod. I asked if they could try and be careful, look for another way to maneuver the truck, the drivers solution was to cancel the pick up and get someone else to pick up the pod. The driver did not want to put any effort into the pick up, rather kept saying they wanted to cancel the pick up and get someone else to pick up the pod.

I asked the driver to make an effort; make some attempt. There was some more maneuvering, an issue with hitting the side of my house, the driver again said they wanted to cancel the pickup. Mid way through the driver places a personal phone call and begins a conversation with someone; I can assume although I do not know for sure, the driver was trying to ignore me rather than be decent. The driver finally aligns the truck with the pod without having to drive over the plants after thinking it through.
