I've used Half Price Movers twice, and they've consistently exceeded my expectations! They offered the most competitive rates I could find, and the moving team - Jo, George, and John - went above and beyond to ensure a seamless, stress-free experience. Their friendly, professional, and helpful attitude made all the difference. I wholeheartedly recommend Half Price Movers and would definitely use their services again in the future.

My movers from NJ to SI were Joe,Carlos,Jorge,Eric,Orandy,They wete all very good! Great and friendly and courteous personalities! They worked well together as a team! Everything they did was well thought out ! They did a walk through with me several times to ensure all was done right! ? ? ? ? ? for all 5 guys!

Joe, Jorge, and O Randy were amazing today. They were able to load a whole apartment of furniture within 30 minutes while being safe and asking questions so that we were satisfied. All the furniture is safe and placed down perfectly in our new apartment. Thank you!!

If I could give AJ, Mohamad, and 1/2 price movers a 10/10 I would, but I can only give 5 stars. AJ and Mohamad were very professional, showed up right at the time I was told for pickup, and moved all my belongings from scotch plains to Hackensack in a very timely fashion. There aren’t many movers who work on Labor Day weekend or are as responsive as the service I received from 1/2 price movers, and services were provided at a very reasonable rate. Could not more strongly recommend AJ, Mohamed, and the 1/2 Price Movers team. Thank you!

Update: They called me to try to pay me off to take down my review. I agreed to edit it to reflect them trying to make things right after the poor quality move. Then they never paid me, and were extremely rude and unprofessional on the phone. The woman literally mocked and imitated me like a child on the phone. Avoid this sleazy, scam of a company. Overall terrible experience with the move, the movers, and the office staff. See original review if you want to read an honest experience with this company. It will save you a big headache.

I called 1/2 Price Movers to get a quote for moving a piano, and I was assured that they 'specialize in moving pianos.' This was most definitely not the case. They were great on the phone, and very quick to take my non-refundable deposit (half the price of the move). After that started the issues. Clearly there is a serious lack of communication between the people scheduling the move, the dispatcher, and the actual movers. I was guaranteed a certain date and time, but when the mover called me, he said there is no way he can do it because he was already on a different move half way across the state. When we finally scheduled a time that worked, they sent only TWO GUYS to move a piano! They were unfriendly and unprofessional, and were very rough with the piano. To be fair, there was no way they could possibly be kind to the piano when they only had two people to do a job that should have had four movers. They were also clearly not made aware of what floor I was on or how many steps there were, even though this information was taken in the beginning and worked into the price. They expressed annoyance that there were stairs and that I was on the second floor even though that was what was literally written in the contract, and we have an elevator. In the end, I felt I had to tip them more, because they had done the job of 3-4 movers, and the company was too cheap to send enough manpower to safely move my piano. One of the movers even got hurt on the stairs where his leg got trapped under the piano. When it came time to settle the bill, they added 5% to the bill for payment with a credit card. This was NOT communicated in the many conversations I had with the sales and scheduling people. Every other company I called had either the same price for cash or card, or they told me on the phone in advance. Overall it was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this company for your move if you want a safe, professional move. If I had wanted to move the piano myself with a few friends and a U-haul or pickup truck, I would have done it myself. Instead I shelled out over $500 to have this unprofessional moving company rough up my piano at least as much as me and a few friends would have. I seriously doubt all of their 5-star reviews are real. Avoid this sleazy, unprofessional moving company at all costs if you value your property.
