A&E Relocation just got a 100% accuracy on an inventory for our account. Nice job team! We highly recommend these guys. Marc
Unacceptable. I had advised the company that previous moving companies needed two days for packing and unpacking each, and that furniture was sensitive and expensive. A&E movers rushed the packing in one day. They dumped the contents of all the drawers in each room into wardrobe sized boxes and then left it in a big pile at the destination. Shelving was ripped apart with force and cannot be reassembled. Expensive furniture was transported without any protection and damaged. Boxes were poorly labeled and ended up in the wrong place. After delivery, the new home was left looking like it had been ransacked by looters. The physical damage to property is not the worst part, the worst part is the months it will take to get my life together again.
I had done a local move with the firm a year ago which went well, so I opted to use them for interstate move beginning in September. The pack and load crew were a clown show. It took them over eight hours to pack and load what the local crew had taken less than three hours to move more items a year earlier. They brought only few tools and had to borrow mine. I had to help on chap unscrew the bolts on a bed frame.
At destination as I unpacked, I found that suits / coats had just been thrown into wardrobes, rather than hung. Hats and delicate items had been tossed into the bottom of boxes and crushed beneath heavy items. Trash, such as wads of packing tape, had been thrown into the boxes.
At destination, unpack services which we had specifically added were simply not provided by unload team who were unprepared to unpack late on a Friday afternoon.
In summary, we paid for a top shelf Mayflower move and in the end we would've been just a well off with a couple of independent guys wuth a truck.
