A+ Storage

Very clean. I've been with A+ Storage since Jan 2001 rent has gone from $178.00 and as of last week it was $300.00. I've emailed the company 3 times if they could forward me 2 invoices I'm missing for my records as well as if there is anything they can do about the rate and all 3 emails were ignored. No reply whatsoever. I did however, receive a notification that they were raising my unit another $40.00. So now it has gone from $178 to $340. Sadly, looks like I need to look for another place.

The gentleman that helped me was really friendly and welcoming and made sure I got what I was looking for. I wish I remembered his name because I thought he was great!

However, this place needs some work. The elevator gets stuck when you try to go to the 2nd floow and you have to go up to the 3rd floor and back down to the 2nd. It's a mess to say the least. I also noticed that the elevator inspection documents in the elevator are expired since last year which would make sense. Their prices are a little high and their sizing for their units seems to be a bit off from my experience. Also, you have to buy their lock which is $35 with card or $20 with cash which I wasn't aware about and was pretty disappointing since I had just bought a lock right before heading to the unit. I've had my own storage unit before and was able to bring my own lock so I really didn't like that and to charge so high for a lock felt a little sleazy.

On top of all of that, this place has weird hours. I went to drop off a few items few days ago at my unit and had to rush through my workday and traffic to make sure I'd get there knowing it's my only real window. As soon as I got there, I was told over the intercom as I was trying to access the gate that the place was closing in 15 min, but it was 5:20 so I was a little confused since I was told building access was until 5:45. Just a lot of things this place could work on. I got it mainly because of the location being convenient for me, but had I known some of these major drawbacks, I would have gotten a storage unit somewhere else.

Clean I think they need more cameras to record any anomalies but I'm happy with personnel and maintenance people. Hours need to be extended. COVID is over.
