This company is the absolute worst. I have never had such a horrible experience in my life. The manager is unprofessional, inappropriate and aggressive. When I asked to speak to the owner they refused to tell me who owns the business. They wouldn't allow me to come to the office and pay I had to give the movers my card. I asked the movers to speak to the manager because I was not pleased with the service or the way they talked to me. The manager called me and was yelling and screaming at me, she told me the customer isn't always right. When the manager arrived to the house she continued to be irate because I didn't like the service. The company is absolutely deplorable. The manager told me that it's hard working with your own people as she apologized for the way she and her staff talked to me. There is no accountability for the poor service and the aggressive behavior. The
They get a NEGATIVE 5 stars.
I appreciate that a friend of mine at work suggested A Woman’s Touch to move my belongings from VA to NC. The owner was very nice and professional who visited my house to give me an estimate of the cost that was very nearly exact, which proved less than any other moving company. The movers worked diligently, covering my furniture in a professional manner, moving everything carefully. Each of the movers knew how to handle the furniture. I had to move it from my home in VA to a storage unit IN NC. I just removed my furniture from storage, after six months, and not one piece was damaged or broken. They stacked the items very wisely in the unit. (Note: The local NC movers, Hornets Moving, had to only move 1/3 of what A Movers Touch had to move since I moved most myself. They took much longer. They even broke one piece of furniture and lied about it. I trusted them and signed the papers to find out they had broke the leg off after their departure. I only mention this to show the difference in quality service. I wish A Womans Touch could have moved me within NC.).
A Womans Touch even helped me find the storage unit in NC to put my furniture. They are an outstanding moving company. I recommend that you try them. (BTW, all moving companies charge you for boxes and supplies. I had checked with four different companies in VA. Therefore, I packed my boxes myself buying the boxes and packing paper from Lowe’s. I never priced the supplies from A Womans Touch; I should have - could have been less.).
A Womans Touch moving crew also took apart my beds and dining room table with expertise making sure everything was there to put together upon arrival. (Unlike Hornets who put one bed together that fell apart and left screws on the ground of my dining table that I found afterwards - very sloppy and unprofessional.). I compare these because both are local to areas; one crew cares about their trade and the other seemingly doesn’t.
Special thanks to A Womans Touch for such outstanding service and people of integrity! You will not be disappointed if you use them.
I booked this moving company well in advance for a local move yesterday. They called the morning of and cancelled. They insisted they called around to find another company to help with no success. I had to search for another company on the last Friday of the month, with all of my belongings packed in limbo and keys in hand having made the arrangements for me and my partner to lose a day of work. Thankfully, I found another company who did an amazing job but charged a premium for same-day booking. I called several times to at least have the company make up the difference and I have yet to hear back. Unprofessional and completely unacceptable.
I have used several moving companies over the years but A Women's Touch Moving was the best ever hands down. They moved me from Midlothian to Lynchburg in one day and not one thing was scratched. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
