And Magdi came on time as what the contract said and he explain the contract one by one and very nice I highly recommend A1 Moving/Storage and Magdi in particular.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS!!! I fell into the same trap where I found this company to have good prices on the web and it seemed like they had good reviews, but please read some of them for yourself. They create fake reviews to boost their ratings and try and keep scamming others. You can tell this company every last item you will be moving with you and how many rooms you're moving before they arrive, but it doesn't matter if you told them right or not they will still jack up the price as they are loading everything into the truck and tell you 'there's more than what you told us.' BULLS**T! They are trying to scam and make every last time that they can off of customers and I'm sure they've changed business names several times to continue doing so. I scheduled a move from NJ to SC and it took 2 weeks to receive my stuff while I sat in an empty apartment, when they told me the day of the move it would be no more than a week. They lease out the long distance move to other semi-truck drivers who are not affiliated with the business at all. Multiple calls and complaints to the main business number and speaking with managers gets no where, I honestly feel like a complete idiot not seeing this scam from the beginning. Once my stuff FINALLY got here, the driver had no movers with him which A1 said that I would not have to pay for any movers and that would be covered. Well it was not, the driver refused to let me take anything off the truck until I gave him ALL of the cash, I tried to ask if I could give him half and then the other half when everything was said and done but he refused. Honestly can't blame the driver here, he was paid to do a job move this stuff which he did but A1 does not honor anything they say is covered. They will tell you things are covered and their own movers will take the stuff off the truck but this is FALSE. There were NO A1 employees here when my stuff finally arrived in SC. Multiple things damaged. Please see my screenshot below that shows PROOF that they duplicate reviews to boost their dirty image. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!!!

Hired this company because they gave the best price quote to move cross country.

Price doubled between initial quote, and second quote after reviewing our inventory. they were still competitive, so we decided to use them.

Once the truck was loaded we were 'Over' the quoted capacity, and the price tippled.

What were we supposed to do at that point? Tell them 'No' and to unpack everything while we find a new mover last minute to move? No that was not an option.

Felt like we were blatantly scammed.

They also tracked mud all through the house, destroying the (white) carpet in the process.

On top of the pricing fiasco, not all of our things arrived at the destination. They were able to find MOST (but not all) of it, and deliver it a month later.

Unprofessional customer service.
Unprofessional pricing practices.
Unprofessional movers.

Do yourself a favor and go someplace else.

This company completely ripped us off! Quoted $1700 to move our 2 bedroom townhouse and final invoice was over $6K!!! Save your money and work with real professionals, especially for an out of state move. They claimed they did weekly trips to GA (we moved from NJ), and could beat amyone's price.... Lies!! They damaged items, lost one of our boxes and took them 6 weeks to deliver missing items from their truck. Worst customer service too... no one returned calls, we had to harass them for delivery times and weekly calls to find our missing stuff to get it returned. Not to mention, they will ask several times for tips (load, unload and to deliver our missing items). They asked for 20% of the invoice total in cash for their team. These people are greedy and will take advantage of you. Go with a legit freight company... and if you do use them, make sure you have insurance as you will need it. Did I mention they trashed our place with tape and boxes when they delivered our stuff? They unwrapped and threw the garbage anywhere, I was picking up tape for days. Our boxes were crushed and destroyed... Had to make several insurance claims. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!
