AD Movers

These guys were fabulous and I highly recommend them!! They were professional and polite. I was anxious about shipping all my belongings to Australia, but they packed everything up in boxes and loaded my container and showed me how it was all secured to ease my worries. The team worked very well together and I found the whole business was openly communicative and supportive. 5 stars from me!

They charge you a 50.00 booking fee then it tells you they will contact you which never happened. When I called to verify my move they said cannot accommodate the time I need. We rebooked for the following afternoon causing me to pay an additional day for the truck. I found someone else to unload and called them back to cancel. He actually asked me if I had a scheduled move. When I said I did, but had someone unload already. I asked if they would return ten 50.00 and he said “no” that is nonrefundable.

I wonder how many people pay this fee and lose it because they cannot accommodate the move. Seems like a scummy and scammy way to take peoples 50.00.

I hired AD Movers for a long distance move from New Orleans to Raleigh, NC. I had an expensive and irreplaceable family 20+ year old chair break (and they refused to fix it, or reimburse me. Owners response is he has never filed an insurance claim and simply didn’t want to). The leg of the chair snapped off. I also had other smaller things break, like Christmas ornaments, which I told the mover was a valuable box. Also, numerous other things were scratched like my dinner table and now have to pay close to $1,000 to have refinished. Also, they didn’t put back together shelves and other things they had to unscrew to move. Because I didn’t call him within 24-48 hours after moving he said he wasn’t responsible for anything that broke. Which is crazy because I just spent the last few weeks prior to move packing, then had to drive from LA to NC and then he expects me to unpack my ENTIRE house almost immediately. I moved to New Orleans with my old roofing company and moved back to NC to start my own company. As a business owner myself, I’m appalled that he would screw over his customers so easily, especially someone that just dropped $6k on a move. I would never do that. Only good thing is driver was cool and I’m fairly certain they didn’t snoop around my stuff.
