AD Movers

Movers were professional and fast. The POC who I assume is the boss was not as professional. Apartment request for their insurance was unresponsive until I called a week later for the same request. I was told this is not the normal way we do things. It was then submitted to me instead of to my apartment.

I requested movers for 9am and when they weren’t there, I called and was told they would be there 15 minutes (which they were). I told him I only have the loading dock for two hours and his response was, “Well why would you do that?” Because that’s what my apartment allows. The movers accidentally knocked the legs off my desk while moving and had to stay an extra hour to fix it. I was charged for that extra hour until I called and he tried to explain why it was something wrong with my desk. He said I’ll take off half an hour.

Although I was disappointed in his unprofessionalism, I tipped the movers, but I will not use them again. I shouldn’t have to request their insurance multiple times, I should have received a call if they were going to be late and I should not have to pay extra for accidents made to my furniture.

I didn’t get a chance to use these movers but I had called frantic one morning trying to get movers over Mardi Gras/ Ash Wednesday, moving from Uptown to the French Quarter. The gentleman assured me he could handle whatever I needed.
Fast forward, a friend from work offers to do the move so I didn’t follow up, but AD Movers did. They called to check in and see if their services were still needed. What?! I was in total shock and so appreciative.
I will definitely call them when I need movers next time.

I wouldn’t even bother calling any other moving company. I’ve used AD twice and they were professional and handled my furniture and belongings as if it were their own. Friendly, reasonably priced and very responsive, they are a great company to work with.

We’ve used AD Movers twice and both were great experiences. This past weekend we used them and they turned up on time, started work and diligently completed the work. Whenever we move next time, I’ll be using them again! Thank you for the great service.
