I had a pleasant experience with this company last week. Everything went smoothly and there were no surprises along the way. Right from the start their representative told me exactly what I need and what is going to happen and I was fully informed about the entire process. The movers came on time and were very professional as well. In fact, these movers showed total respect to me and my belongings. They respected my time and showed up on time on both ends. With the great skills of their employees plus the quality of their work, Advanced Moving & Storage would definitely emerge as a great moving company. Very positive experience overall and I recommend to anyone who is looking for a good and trustworthy service.

FINAL POST 7/12/18; Isn't it amazing on every bad review listed for them the owner says "no customer on record", claims extortion or trolls, or he tried to work with them? I've finally been paid in full and the ordeal is over. It took a citation to discover assets to get the judgement owed. The unethical owner wouldn't work with me originally when I asked for damages and overcharges. I offered to settle twice... for 700 then 1100 as i discovered more issues. He offered 60, 189, then 500. Wound up costing him 2K by the judge after I did a full audit and discovered how much I was scammed. Be wary of this company. They overcharge, damage and lose items. What Jim wrote is a flat out lie. Go anywhere else and save yourself from going thru what I did. Paying more money with a reputable company will save you the time and trouble of going to court to recoup what they overcharge while holding your items hostage or things they damaged or stole 7/7/18: Jim threatened "extortion", charges claiming I said I'd remove my reviews if he paid me. LIE. I wouldn't remove for ANY amount!!! I told him I'd wait by the door for the police lol. People should know who they're dealing with at this company. "EXTORTION & RANSOM" are terms he resorts to when he wants you to stop contacting him. Fyi Jim: Extortion is when you demand more money under threat of driving off with someones things unless they pay. But, that's just business as usual for you right? 7/2/18: Have NOT received payment. Below the owner, says my damage claims were "paid in full", a total lie. When I email about paying me, his response is to cease and desist and nobody from the company will respond to me. They say an attorney will contact me, yet won't provide a name or number (there's no attorney used in this case) so prob more lies. Jim's claim of agencies finding my claim "unfounded", also a lie. The ICC closed the case when I opted for court. The BBB was emailed the judgement, and I have basis to have the AG investigate. The ever so classy owner says he regrets doing business with me. Jim Lalagos, President, lost it in the court hallway, screamed at me, & acted so unstable a sherriff needed to escort me to my car. Not a "professional" I'd EVER feel safe letting in my home. I refused to let this company take advantage, his threats did not sway me in following through with the suing them, and I'm certain he regrets I WON my case. I trusted this was a professional company until they held our items hostage demanded more money and threatened to drive off with our items if we didn't pay. They charged us for supplies never used & damaged our things and had false labor charges on an altered BOL. I have no doubt he regrets that I was prepared, he was not, and there was NO evidence I was wrong. The owner lied saying he was involved from the start, yet didn't know I hired their packing services. Hmmmm. I was armed with proof of every discrepancy thru spreadsheets, emails, contracts and quotes to prove my case. I had the truth on my side and the proof to back it up. Hiring this company was the worst decision I ever made, and you will likely end up paying far more than what was quoted as I did. Save yourself the headache that I've endured for a year before going to court. Read ALL the reviews, there are many just like mine, and you will see the pattern. Go with a well known, trustworthy company that cares about their reputation. UPDATE 6/22/18: Took them to small claims court and was awarded everything I asked for...over 2K. Sometimes the good guys win! NEVER GIVE UP! I give zero stars. They broke MANY of our things. Ripped us off charging over 1000 more than the original cost and refusing to return our things unless we paid. Reported to Illinois Commerce Commision and in process of reporting to Attorney General IL. STAY AWAY! Use virtually ANYONE else! I wish I had read previous reviews. The owner is the one that told the workers by phone to collect all additional money or leave with our things, then he refused to even take my call.

Horrifying experience. I wish I could give negative star review. PLEASE read the reviews, and how awful this company is. We had scheduled to move a baby grand piano, and estimated 2 hours of service, KNOWING IT WAS A BABY GRAND PIANO. Then they took 2 hours to even get to our house from the previous owner, held the piano for hostage, demanding us to pay more. A mover name TONY said if we pay a certain amount of money, they will finish the job, move the piano to upstairs (6 stairs only). So we agreed. Professional movers?? Are you serious? First, they couldn't even move it to upstairs. We TOLD THEM ahead of time we have stairs. Then they extremely damaged the newly renovated house. Our walls and stairs have dents and cracks ( see pics). They scratched the piano, broke the cover and electric box, and didnt even apologize once. Later that day, a guy name JOSEPH called and said we need to pay more asked to pay double the estimated cost and pay beyond more what we agreed with TONY). He said if we don't, they will use our credit card information they have and just charge us. We said our house is too damaged and he said we are lying. What kind of business threaten customer to charger their credit card?? What kind of good business says we are lying when we have evidence? I let a review on google and a woman name MAUREEN called asking to remove the reviews. So we did so that we can get the house and piano fix. We sent emails to claim the damage. It took them 3 months to fix the house. And We asked to move the piano to upstairs where we wanted from the beginning, they said we have to pay more. SO WE DID. and WHILE MOVING, THEY DAMAGED MORE!!!!!!!!! MAUREEN asked us to send ANOTHER claiming sheet, and receipts for fixing the piano (because they broke the pedal while they were moving the second time). But guess what? They aren't paying us back. Then why'd you even ask us to send receipts? Maureen wouldn't let us speak to her manager or their lawyer. What kind of business is this? Now they are not willing to fix the house. Piano is still broken. We are suing this company. Please see the pictures for evidence. I have pictures of movers as well. Please, I beg you people, if you want moving process to be smooth, there are so many other moving companies that could do that for you. They rip people off, swear at customers, threatens to charge more, and takes 3-4 months to even fix the original damage. TL;DR: 1: They threaten to charge and held piano as hostage. 2: They damaged the house, not just little but unfix-able damaged. 3: Charged more to finish our original contract (and we paid). 4. Refuse to fix the damages & Refuse to even deal with it no longer. 5. Please do not use this company. Unprofessional, lazy movers, upcharge, take advantage of non-english speakers. Overall, Horrible experience. Tony, Joseph, Marueen are the three workers that we know. Please, I beg you to read their bad reviews. We are suing the company and filed complaint with ICC.
