yeah. moving day came . i had a 9 am start time for AFFORDABLE MOVERS but only one guy showed at that time. he said his boss suspected there was a lot of stuff and that he needed to do an assessment. This was NOT THE PLAN I HAD SET UP WITH HIM A WEEK BEFORE Rex was his name. but after i flipped out a bit i aggreed to a 2:30 start time bc thats when they were available and didn't know if i had time to wait to connect to another company any sooner. so yes there was a lot of stuff. i had lived with my mom through her cancers and my illnesses and things just usually got stuffed in a nook or cranny just to be able to continue functioning but then with the blessings bestowed upon us it was eventually very cramped and with a garage for storage. so later in the afternoon we all did our best i guess. but it wasnt enough. once we started the garage my friend and i had to leave and the movers agreed to come back an additional day for 3 hrs. all this cost me 900$ first day and 320+ 2nd day for garage 30$ tip. (700+200 tip ). i also rented a storage unit to go through the garage and keep anything that might be used in next year. i LOST SOO SO MUCH. the garage was barely touched bc they saw dead (kitty) body parts. I don’t know what happened to the cats but it was wasn’t good. so movers refused to do anything but move a few light things and bring me a forgotten cedar chest. but i still had to pay. still didnt get my desk. or fireproof box/safes I don’t know. very disappointed and trying to let it go. just be advised. look out for any calls from movers bc this one changed the game plan mid stream…and bc i now live in a remote area i didn’t get the calls in time. i even emailed the company the day before and said i was ready to get it going next day 9 AM NOT 2:30PM when I’m already exhausted. the guys were nice other than their faulty practices and un-appologetics.
