Amazing job done exactly as quoted with very experienced movers! They did a great job of moving very heavy pieces of furniture without scratching any of the furniture or interior spaces! From the sales to the movers,, everyone was very responsive, and had empathy for people who are stressed out and trying to move!
We've used Alexander's 3 times - from Eagan to Madison, WI, then Madison to Minneapolis, and finally Minneapolis to Richfield. Every single time they amazed us with their speed, efficiency, care, and quality. We've recommended them to many friends as well, and they've have great experiences too.
The team at Alexander Mobility really did a great job making us feel comfortable about the whole process of moving our stuff from the US to Canada. Yes, they are pricey, but you’re certainly getting what you pay for. They are very thorough, professional, knowledgeable about the whole process and take care of the customs as well. They do use a ton of paper to pack the things up but so far we haven’t received any damaged goods so that’s obviously a positive. I certainly would recommend them to anyone looking for an international mover who knows what they’re talking about.
EDIT: I sent an email on March 13th as the owner suggested. It’s now the 29th of March and we’ve received zero response.
I’m not certain if Alexander’s mobility services uses the same packing procedures for both civilian and military moves, but make 100% sure that everything goes into a box, inventoried and a number assigned to it.
My spouse is in the military and was identified to move from Minnesota to California. On December 16, 2022 a crew of 7 people from Alexander mobility services piled into our 2 bedroom 2 bath 1100 square foot apartment to pack our belongings. There was no way my husband and I could be in every room watching them pack. We had to have faith that everything was packed and inventoried. My husband signed off on the paperwork.
The way our military move worked is Alexander mobility services packed our household goods and brought it back to there facility. Another company picked up our shipment and transported it across country and dropped it with the movers who ultimately delivered our household goods.
So fast forward 3 weeks from December 16th. We received our household goods. We’re going through the inventory checklist with the company who delivered our stuff. We’re missing a large dewalt backpack type bag with 4 dewalt handheld power tools and battery chargers. Alexander mobility service did not pack them. There was obviously no inventory sticker reference and the missing items were not on our checklist. Had the items gone missing during transport and delivery they would still appear on the inventory paperwork.
My husband emailed the company and asked if maybe someone might have taken it thinking it was the company tool bag. They did not respond to his message. Instead they forwarded his message to the Military transportation coordinator. They advised my spouse to file a claim for reimbursement. Well that claim was denied today because there was no inventory number associated with our missing tools.
So very long story short. Be in the room when Alexander mobility services is packing your items. Make sure everything goes into a box. Insure that the box has an inventory sticker and all the items appear on the paperwork you sign. Otherwise you could be out a few hundred dollars like us.
And to Alexander Mobility Services…you may want to implement a refresher course on how to properly pack household goods for your employees. We were very disappointed to discover our missing items.
Alexander’s was amazing today with our office move. They were friendly, respectful and hardworking. They made a stressful day so much easier with their help.
