We have been using AAS for several years now and we appreciate the fact that they look out for our property and the price hasn't gone up in 8 years. They will give you one month free if you pay for 5. They protect themselves by requesting titles and proof of insurance which lets me know that the other people storing here are honest. Thank you AAS for taking such good care of our RV!
Response to Jennifer Carroll post: First thing on lease is : 'What is being stored?' In looking at the unit to be rented the man (boyfriend?) who was to store the ATV stated, oh it was deep enough to get the ATV in it. At which time he was asked about a title & insurance. ..something to prove ownership, of which he stated he had & would bring back when coming to rent the unit. He even let his driver's license be copied so the lease could be started & save time for his returning later. The only person questioning our policy was Ms. Carroll. Having worked this business long enough to have the drama of husbands & wives, boyfriends & girlfriends owning 'titled' property together & splitting ways & one trying to hide something from the other...yes, when we are able to do so, we proactively make sure all owners know that their share of such property is going to be at our site. No one ever implied that 'he' had stolen anything. For info, he returned the next day to rent a storage unit (did not say he had been in the day before) & that day the Manager was working & when he gave her his ID she recognized his name from the notes from the day before & the partially filled in lease. So she asked did he bring in the title. At which time he stated he did not have a title but had a bill of sale (but not with him) & was just a small piece of paper. The Manager told him she would not be able to rent a unit to him because he still did not have any kind of ownership document but that he might could check with some of the other businesses that did care about this. Draw what you will from this but it would appear he was coming in to rent a unit as if he had never been there before...don't you think? Most businesses have rules/policies for a reason & this was one of those examples of why they do. Yes we do share names, phone numbers, & overview of the daily happenings with each other (good or bad) so their are no surprises for the person working the next day. This business has been open for 17 + years & a large percentage of our customers are repeats. We want our customers' property to be safe & secure & strive for that--without any drama!
This place was awful!! We went to rent a unit and were questioned as to what we were storing and then once we told her one piece was an atv she immediately flipped a switch and asked if we had the title and how we purchased. Then we were told we couldn’t store without letting them see the title. She implied that my boyfriend could have stolen it! She was rude and quite unprofessional in my opinion! It was none of her business what we stored!!
Beware of this place! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Nothing is automated, receipts, contracts, you can’t email, and rude when you ask a question about their antiquated processes!
