I can't even put into words how unprofessional this company is. From the moving team, to the claim process after the scratch up your 2000 dollar fridge, or scratch your hard wood floors. Save your money and your furniture and call anyone else. Your stick uncle could move your stuff better than this company.
My husband and I are so disappointed with this company!!! They broke one of the rails on the back of my antique rocker and instead of telling us that they broke it, they wrapped some of their plastic around it. Our other movers we used in the past took great care of our furniture, but we had a few of our boxes missing. We have been married for 50 years and have taken well care of our furniture. My dinette set has scratches on my table and deep scratch on the side that was not there before. Scratches on my master bedroom furniture.and to many other things to post. We were quite a price for all our furniture plus 50 boxes. They only moved the furniture in the house and 10 boxes. When we got our quote the sales rep seen the furniture in the garage and counted that on our load.... then when it came time to pay they had added $200.00 more to the charge, and we were charged for 6 hours and it took less time than that. We will never recommend this company to to anyone!!! When I looked at what you did to my furniture I cried! Oh and now I know why they have you to sign that they are not responsible for damages!:(
The actual moving crew, themselves, were excellent. I could not have asked for better. They worked hard, they got it done on time, and had no mishaps. When I originally got my estimate on the move, the estimator stated that I would not be charged at full hourly rate while the crew was driving for 45 minutes to my residence, or from my new home back to the warehouse. Instead, I would be charged at half rate during drive time at $148.50. But, when I it came time to pay, they wanted to charge for an hour and a half drive time, at full rate. When I questioned them about this, and advise them I didn't feel that it was fair to charge me at full rate, when the crew was not personally moving my stuff, they claimed it was not written on my estimate that I would only be charged $148.50. The first gentleman I spoke with told me, I must have gotten them confused with someone else because they would never charge a lower rate during drive time as the crew still expects to get paid for their time. When I spoke to the owner, however, he reimbursed back the $60 difference between what was on the estimate and what I was charged for the travel time. Also, you might want to buy your own supplies for the crew, such as tape bubble wrap, and shrink wrap, because they way overcharged for these items. Just something to consider if you do not want to be charged out the nose for six rolls of tape when maybe they only use three. The other thing, make sure the crew uses, first, the supplies you do provide. The crew used approximately three rolls of tape on the move. I had three rows of unused tape at my home the crew did not use, but I was charged $27 for six rolls of tape on the bill. The owner reimbursed the $27 because he agreed that the crew should have used the tape I already had. The bottom line, the crew was outstanding. I had no complaints about the crew whatsoever. The only recommendation I have when using this company, be sure to get your estimate in writing. If you do have a billing hitch, take it to the owner. He is very willing to hear what you have to say. He will get it resolved.
