I rented from the McGinnis’s a couple times over the past several years and NEVER once had an issue. This last time I was renting a 5’X10’ unit. As soon as this company took over they mandated that I pay for their renters coverage, increased the rates to where I was paying double from the original cost. And I’m not talking over the course of years, maybe one.
When I went to my unit this spring to start moving stuff out, my lock had been cut off and a different lock was put on, which was locking my unit in the open position. Of course I did not know it was open until I was freaking out and reached out to the company, sent them a picture, and that’s when I was informed.
I had over $2500 worth of stuff stolen. The mandated coverage that I paid for every single month was set to cover a maximum of $2000. I requested that they pull up the camera footage and was told that I needed to have a police report and once I got that, they would work directly with them. I got the police report and after completing all of the steps requested by “management”, I was told that because there were no signs of forced entry, they would not refund a single cent of the stolen items. You know why there was no sign of such?? Because it was cut off! Nor did they ever present the camera footage. If this was my place of business, I would want to know. Who wouldn’t? These people apparently.
I have a hard time not believing that this happens very regular with this company; like mentioned before, I never once had an issue in all the years I rented from this exact location. The story goes…All Purpose buys the previous owner out, mandates all of the “extras”, and then items come up missing!?INSIDE DEAL? I THINK SO! They do not have to stand behind their protection plan if they are clean cutting thieves.
Please think twice before renting from this company, no matter location.

My stuff was stolen in two weeks of moving into my unit. I have tried to reach a manger about this matter for three weeks now. I have called almost every other to every three days for customer
service to tell me “management deals with this issue they will reach out soon” well it has been three weeks and no one has reached out, I get the same answer every time I call… even tho I have been paying insurance on the unit. They also advertise that there is “ 24/7 security, cameras and lighting”. There is one camera at the entrance, one motion light at the entrance and no security that I’ve ever see. I was also told by customer service that there is only a maintenance man that checks the units every Tuesday and Thursday if they have time

Lots of people getting robbed in the area. If you have nothing valuable then sure you can store here(furniture). They even took air conditioners that where old
