Allied Movers

We were looking for a reputable & responsible company to move our possessions across the country. We knew storage would be necessary. Allied pro-rated any partial month of storage. Where money is the biggest factor in choosing a mover, access to our stored goods when our newly-constructed home was ready for us to move in became another high priority.

The sales rep, Shane B., explained many aspects of the moving process openly. After all, how often does a family move homes, let alone cross country. Shane was very accessible by text, and that means much in today's busy world.

The packers were polite, hardworking, and wrapped our big decor items (framed pictures) better than I ever would. The smaller items (place settings) I packed personally, which they did not mind. I accidentally pitched my drawer of utensils out when unpacking by not pulling out the packing paper from the bottom of the box. (take note) Their boxes were sturdier than anything I could have bought off the shelf. The clothing hung in boxes stayed unwrinkled.

The true test to this company's dependability came when I gave them 15 days notice of when we were going to take possession. Our storage came out of the warehouse, drivers were secured, and our possessions were delivered on Dec 31 (NY eve) from Ohio to Florida! These two movers, Greg & Gary, were phenominal. They laid cardboard on our tile, plastic over our carpet, moved & set up heavy beds & furniture with serious focus and no wasted no time. G & G easily did the work of 4 people! They were extraordinary and serious workers.

All in all, my experience with everyone employed by Mills Van Lines was excellent. My husband and I had a stress-free experience from beginning to end over 3 month!

on 7/22/10 Mills moved my neighbors into their house - while positioning their truck they jumped the curb in front of my house and did damage to my lawn and driveway, when I contacted Kelly Mills she informed me it was her belief they weren't liable because they are regulated by the US DOT to drive on all streets, when I informed her my lawn and driveway were private not public she just kept repeating they weren't liable. When I asked for their motor vehicle insurance information she refused. The estimate I received from my homeowners insurance company was only $469.03 - guess they must need the money more than they believe I do
