Allied Van Lines

We have moved professionally 6 other times. This was a very poor move by Allied at a very high price.

The driver was excellent. However, beware of this companies business practices.

They sent a surveyor to our home to view our goods to be moved. Included was a gun safe that we provided much information on, including model, make, weight and how it was delivered. It was included in the weight quoted, and we confirmed with the Company that the necessary equipment would be available. However, when the driver showed up he had no equipment to remove the safe and told us no one informed he needed to move a safe.

Allied contacted a safe mover the day after our move and then tried to pass these costs to move it along to us. We’ve been passed off to multiple people and in fact, the safe remains at our old house despite our attempts to resolve this with them. They clearly tried to just wait us out. We are STILL waiting on a return call from them.

Buyer beware.

We’ve moved many times and I would not do business with them ever again.

UPDATE....We filed a claim for the gun safe. It was denied because Allied falsified their documents to state the gun safe was not part of the move. This has been the worst company to deal with.

Terrible experience. Paid for and was promised a 53’ dry van. Day of move, a 36’ straight truck showed up. Not everything fit, so had to wait on second truck to arrive. Took over 10 hours to load both trucks so had to delay travel plans. Currently 5 days past the guaranteed last delivery date and the second truck still has not arrived with our belongings. No idea if/when it will arrive. Almost impossible to get anyone on the phone and any updates on whereabouts of our belongings consist of “I’m checking” and “I can see it has loaded but dispatch will not respond with ETA”. Even though all of our belongings have not been delivered, company has already charged our credit card. If there is a more dishonest or inefficient moving company, I have never encountered them. Avoid any iteration of Coleman Worldwide or Allied Van Lines. Absolutely atrocious company.

It’s not bad service , except they were late one week.
