Horrible business.

They lied about who they are. The company they hired did not bring my household goods to the state I moved to. Their customer support is a scam. This business should be closed down.
My things are basically missing they don't Know where my stuff is and CANNOT EVEN TELL ME.

Beware of Cole Booher or Sam (female) at Safe Ship Moving Services. This place is a scam.
I was getting a quote from Safe Ship. Sam was the rep. Her initial quote was $5000 for a 1-bedroom. I told her that I got a quote from Pack Rat of $3674 for a container drop off (I would load). I asked if she could match. She put me on hold and to 'run upstairs and ask my boss.' She came back with $3475. I was floored! She said this is for 'white glove service,' I just have to 'open the door.' Feeling that this was too good to be true I looked for reviews -- while I was on the phone with Sam. I found all these terrible 1- and 2-star reviews here on Google. I read a couple to her. She started giving me all these random websites that have given them TOP reviews. 'BestMoving.com,' or 'GetMovers.com' or 'ConsumerVoice.com.' None of these websites are legit. All B.S.

I hang up on Sam and I get a call from Cole B. He says, 'Oh all of those reviews are for a DIFFERENT 'Safe Ship' company in Boynton Beach, we are in Boca Raton.' All I had to do was search their DOT (federal Dept. of Transp. for interstate commerce) and MC (Motor Carrier license for being a broker)number and found out the Boynton Beach is their MAILING address and their Boca address is their PHYSICAL address. In short, Cole lied to me. Enough said.

Check it out for yourself!

DOT Number (3475743)

This is the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) number, which is required for companies that operate commercial vehicles transporting passengers or hauling cargo in interstate commerce.
The DOT number helps track a company’s safety records, compliance history, and inspections.

MC Number (1139083-B)

The Motor Carrier (MC) number is issued by the FMCSA and indicates the company’s authority to operate as a broker, carrier, or freight forwarder in interstate commerce.
The '-B' suffix suggests that this company is a broker, meaning they arrange for the transportation of goods but do not physically move them.

SAFE SHIP MOVING IS A SCAM!!!! DO NOT USE.
IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS --- I WOULD. THEY DESERVE TO BE SHUT DOWN

1.THEY ARE NOT VETERAN OWNED AND OPERATED!!!!
THEY CLAIM THAT BECAUSE THEY ARE PREYING ON PEOPLE'S PATRIOTISM AND IT ALSO INSTILLS TRUST.
ANY BUSINESS USING FAKE 'VETERANS' AS BAIT TO LURE IN CUSTOMERS IS UP TO NO GOOD.

2.THEY CONTRACT OUT MOVING COMPANIES WITHOUT VETTING THEM.

3. THE MOVING COMPANY THEY SENT ME -- 'A WOMENS TOUCH IN NEW JERSEY' ARE CRIMINAL. SAFE SHIP ACKNOWLEDGED THEY HAD PRIOR ISSUES WITH THEM BUT STILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM AND DEFEND THEM. THEY OVERCHARGED ME BY ALMOST $1,000 AND WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY. (MORE ON THAT WITH PICTURES, VIDEOS AND EMAILS IN ANOTHER POST)

4. SAFE SHIP IS NOT LEGITIMATE BUSINESS. THEY PROMISE EVERYTHING AND ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY --- THEY DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT. THEY'RE SALES PEOPLE ARE PUSHY AND THEY LIE. AND THEY ARE NOT VETERANS.

5. I WILL BE POSTING PICTURES AND VIDEOS BUT EVERYONE NEEDS TO STAY AWAY. THEIR RATINGS AND AWARDS ARE FRAUDULENT. I'VE BEEN LOOKING INTO THEM SINCE MY MOVE EARLIER THIS MONTH.

Let me start off by saying that I received a phone call after requesting a quote from this company. I wanted a quote, not to fully book yet as we're making a big move and wanted to figure out the best rates for our family. The gentleman I spoke with (Javier) was very friendly and cordial and we had a wonderful conversation regarding the move. When it came time for pricing, the price was OUTRAGEOUS. We had been quoted with a few different companies and the price had been around $2300-2500 consistently. The quote we received was $4800 with their 'white glove' service or $3800 for us to pack all the stuff ourselves. He also offered an additional $8-900 off if I would book it right then. I explained that I was not ready to book yet and that I would need to discuss the financing with my husband prior to booking. This is where I started to get pissed off. The persistence and un-willingness to let me discuss the pricing with my husband and book right then and there was incredibly rude and frustrating. I explained MULTIPLE times that I would not book because I wanted to discuss with my husband, something I would do if it was $5000 or $50. He then proceeded to say something like 'well you could just say you're going to take the $3800 rate and I'll never hear from you again' and something like 'well wouldn't you guys discuss something like this beforehand'. After the frustrating persistence and commentary, I hung up. He then proceeded to try and call me back AND texted me. The voicemail he left was rude, basically saying that he hoped the call dropped and not that I had just hung up on him as we had been on the phone for a while and his text message was basically asking if I had hung up on him or if the call dropped.

I understand wanting to make a sale, but when someone is persistently saying they want to discuss the finances with their spouse, DROP IT. I will not ever do business with this company and will not recommend this company. This has put a sour taste in my mouth that I have no care to fix. We have found another solution that will work for us at almost $2-3000 cheaper than what they have quoted us. My suggestion if you're able to pack things yourself is to look into the U-haul U-pack option. Much easier to work with and you don't have to go through the frustration of quoting/booking over the phone.
