Allied Van Lines

Most truthful (timelines, cost, and pick-up/delivery dates) moving company I have experienced and that is over 22yrs of Military moves occurring every two to four years. Our driver and team took great care of our belongings and homes. I would recommend using for a departure from the O'Fallon IL area.

Poor coordination. No communication Specialty packers who weee coming to pack art. changed last minute and had no time to prepare proper crates. Packers for bulk of items arrived at 1 pm and stayed until 10:30 instead of arriving as planned in am. Trucker said he would deliver items for art storage at 8 am in ny but couldn’t fogure out how to ger to destination and ended up on ny streets with overpasses that were too low for the truck. Then went to deliver our other items in nj. Threatened to return to st louis with the items for ny or leave them at the other storage facility as he panicked or couldn’t read gps i assume? . Both art storage rep and I tried. to give him instructions but he had difficulty listening He finally arrived around 5:30 pm. I wasn’t able to return to the facilit and in addition to art he left items clearly marked for nj storage, including furniture that we now have to move. We would have ecpected Allied to assume the cost but
Allied said they will not assume cost ( around 1000) as the items were accepted - but I wasn’t able to be there considering the lateness of drlivery (. 8 1/2 hours after planned arrival) . In addition allied dispatcher believed advising me that the driver wasn’t from NY should explain his driver’s problems. We have move all over the world and I have moved many ttimes. This move should have been the simplest yet the allied teams’ organization and logistics skills were wanting . I would have a hard time recommending them

Courteous and respectful crew

Rob, Mo, and Orlando (I think his name was) were quick, efficient, friendly and professional at packing and load up. Rob and Ashton were all the same at delivery. I hope to never move again, but if I do, I will definitely use Allied. I also plan to use them to ship my classic vehicle from IL to SC in the near future.

Were very careful with my stuff and nice.
