Contracted these guys through Neptune Auto Transport. Not only did they give me a fair price, it was better than anything else any other company offered me for a New York City to Nebraska transport ($1,200 vs the minimum of $1,345). Payment was a little problematic, but that was on my bank due to transfer delays, but overall my car was picked up early, delivered on time, and everything went as smooth as can be. Would highly recommend if you need their services.
Avoid at all cost …
We found this company through a family friend and had a local move within NJ. Natalie was responsive and helpful setting up the move and handled the contract and deposit. Moving day, the team of 4 guys managed to get the very large job ahead of them completed and were nice however at the end of the move we noticed two pieces of broken furniture and there were many chipped pieces of furniture as well. The supervisor for the job (who had only started working into the moving field 30 days prior - Not sure how someone new is a supervisor?) told us the company would assist and to call them the next day. One main piece of damage was for our expensive entertainment center. The owner Alan called me that evening and I told him about the damaged pieces and sent him pictures of the damages. He wrote back the next day and went on to berate me over the phone telling me we signed the addendum at the beginning of the move that 100% waived any responsibility to any damage or breakage in the move. He said that because my furniture was “engineered wood” it was meant for a single use and not to be moved. I told him their movers should be trained to point out pieces of furniture that has the potential to break and he continued repeating that it was fake IKEA wood that was just more expensive from this store. He then proceeded to tell me “you should train your husband on how to read a contract”. Absolutely unacceptable customer service and we are appalled with the turnout and lack of responsibility to rectify the situation. The “contract” they make you sign before they move any box is attached so you can make a decision if you’re comfortable with this company as I would not have moved forward had I received this contract with the original while paying our deposit. Very shady business practices! Avoid at all cost! Take your money, spend a little more for a reliable company that treats their customers right - not scream at them over the phone and hang up. It was also sketchy that the movers only wanted to accept Zelle or cash at the end of the move but I refused to pay cash and not have a paper trail. Beware!
Don't do business with this company! Several issues with this poor company: They lost or left with some of my property. They did not move a refrigerator claiming it weighed 50% more than it does and that they didn't have the equipment required to lift it (a simple strap). And later ridiculed me on the phone when I called to arrange for them to come back and finish the move with the proper equipment. Don't do business with this company!
