Erik and his crew recently moved us from Marietta to Martinsburg West Virginia.
Erik and the crew arrived early and went right to work. They expertly packed the truck and the trip happened without anything getting broken.
Erik actually made the trip up and managed the loading and unloading at both locations.
I received a nice hand written thank you note from Erik a few days after the move. A nice touch!
I would highly recommend this company.
We just recently did our second move with American Eagle Relocation Services and we cannot say enough great things about Erik and the crew! Erik is so kind, communicative and comes out almost immediately to give a quote for the move at a very fair price. We pretty much had the same crew as we did for our first move and those guys are so nice, hard working and do a great job. For this particular move, we had an issue and ended up having to move a washer/dryer that we thought we were leaving. The guys had already packed up and left but we gave them a call and told them the situation and they so graciously went back the same day to get the units. Amazing people and company--highly recommend and will use them in the future for any moving needs! :)
I reached out to this moving company after receiving several recommendations on social media. And were the referrals right!
These guys were great! From the time Erik came to give me a quote (believe this is the owner) to the actual moving day. Ray and Francisco arrived EARLY! (Who does this in Atlanta?!!). They worked hard, cleaned up after themselves and were the nicest people.
Can’t give them enough stars and thanks.
First of all, this is NOT a moving company. I did not realize this until the day of contract , which was too late as I’m on schedule to meet my first day of work.
Customer service was great, but other than that, everything failed. I was told by the customer representative AND the mover that it usually takes 2 weeks to deliver furniture from west to east coast. In actuality, it took more than 2 weeks and when I called the moving company, it is actually “NW Relocation” who does the moving and not Eagle Moving Company, that lady threw the contract terms on me and she claimed she didn’t promise me anything.
My prior experience with moving was the same movers who picked up my furniture would also be delivering my furniture, but this company is different. The movers who picked up the furniture would deliver the furniture to their hub, let the furniture sat there until a schedule is made for delivery. In my case, it sat in their warehouse for good 2 weeks! The team who made the delivery IS different. My problem with this was there were cables and misc missing and the movers who made the delivery had no clue where it was because they didn’t pack them. They only go by labels. Clearly , I have things missing and I couldn’t find them.
The day that the movers came to pick up my furniture, they quoted me a higher estimate because they said I have more boxes than it was listed when I have given the actual number of items to the lady the day before the move (I have already done with packing the day of the call). The new estimate cost me a few thousands more , not hundreds. But I was stuck to not agree as I would not make it if I were to find a new moving company then.
The day of delivery , I was charged a few hundreds more because their truck was too big and they had to rent a Uhaul to transport my furniture. And another few hundreds more as there are more staircases. I have to say I am aware of the extra fee for staircases but I’m not expecting to pay for Uhaul. I think the company should’ve planned better on their logistics and not have to charge their customers last minute. I would appreciate if they mention about Uhaul rental early on and not last minute.
When my furniture finally arrived, they broke my PC (it is not booting up) , my sofa is torned and wine glasses were broken. It is logical to move fragile item with care. I have specifically mentioned about the PC to the movers, and they still screw it up.
In summary, I want to warn folks out there to NOT go for the middlemen. Check to ensure the company that you hire is actually a moving company.
NOTE: I would have given a one-star but the representative was friendly so I give another star.
Best moving experience I've ever had. The team showed up right on time, did a fast and secure pack job, moved to the new location within Atlanta, and unloaded in one day! Extremely impressed and will be recommending to friends and family
