We used them once before, locally, in Virginia Beach, and they were wonderful, so we hired them again, for a long distance move, to Florida. This time, they tried to rip us off. Yelena and Serg came to our home, to give us a quote. They saw all our stuff, packed in boxes and the furniture within the house and garage. We received a written quote, with no mention of possible raises in the price, etc...so when they loaded us up, my husband was shocked when Serg handed him a bill for DOUBLE the amount he quoted us on. Of course, this is a standard way for moving companies to rip people off. I just couldn't believe they would do this to us. My husband had to actually negotiate a new price, while our stuff was on the truck. INSANE. Then, not only did they do this, but they also told us the truck would be there the next day, so I waited at the new house for our stuff. It never showed. We found out that they used two trucks, because they were moving someone else, at the same time, and our stuff was split up--they also took apart a desk that should never be taken apart, and now it's destroyed. It took 4 days later for us to receive all our things. Luckily, we have friends we stayed with until it all arrived. The reason I gave this two stars is because the movers of the first truck (two days late, but not as late as the second truck) were awesome people. I give them their due. We tipped them well, too. The second truck, 4 days late, were the ones who had our destroyed desk, broken large red tool box, and lost one of our boxes completely. I am sure the other people they moved have it.
We do not recommend this company to anyone. And it's sad, because they were so great in VA Beach. Just don't ever use them for long distance jobs. Ever. I hate scammers, and I really hate having my stuff broken and lost.

Excellent moving company. They do local and long distance. They are based in Chesapeake in the Greenbrier area.
