Review:

Last month, I approached Mark from Long Distance Movers for the quote and they sent me the quote for all the items based on weight(2000 lbs) and I paid the deposit $596. These are not movers, these are just brokers. They attached my stuff to American United Vanlines, who came to my apartment for pickup last week. They charged $200 extra, saying 50 cft more, which usually less than the quote given by Long Distance Movers. American United Vanlines troubled me alot at the time of delivery, saying you need to pay $75 extra, as for long distance clause, which is less than 100 feet. Even they haven't delivered all items as per their inventory list. I asked them to show me all the items, they failed to. I refused to sign the dispatch copy as well. These guys ask for cash or money order only. I paid too much for these us. Better avoid going with long distance movers and American United Vanlines, worst companies I have ever seen.

Review:

I would give this company a negative rating if it was possible. From start to finish this was one of the most stressful and worst experiences of my life. When I originally got a quote and submitted a deposit for the moving services I signed a contract stating the specifics. When the movers showed up to load my items there was another contract to sign which was completely different from the first. I was in a hard place and ended up signing the contract because my items were already loaded on the truck and I had no other options as I had to get on the road and start the drive across country. My items were supposed to be delivered August 1st I did not end up receiving my items until September. Every time I called to check on the status of delivery I was literally hung up on and told we’ll get to you when we can. I had to go as far as sending a police officer to their main office in Raleigh to get clarification. This didn’t get me anywhere. When I tried to file a suit against them there was so many loop holes in their contract that saved them from having to accept responsibility. To top it all off, when my items finally arrived many items were damaged and missing. Two weeks after the initial delivery they finally delivered most of the missing items but unfortunately I still have items unaccounted for and no compensation from the company. The customer service is non existent. This company should be out of businesss. They have no right to treat people and their belongings with so much disrespect. Save yourself the headache and heartbreak and DO NOT use this company!!

Review:

I was quoted a price from one company who then farmed our move out to these guys. I told them that I needed to have our stuff picked up ON Sept 25th as the closing on the home we were selling was taking place that day with the buyers taking possession day of closing. They showed up late that morning and proceeded to take their sweet time loading up. We already had the vast majority of our things boxed up. 10 hours later, they finish for the night and have to come back in the morning to load up the lawnmower. Next morning they show up and get the lawnmower loaded at which point I asked if they were going to get to our new home that day because we're going to take possession of our new home that day. I was told that they couldn't unload that day due to time restrictions with DOT. I had thought that I had all this cleared with them beforehand, but evidently I was wrong. We ended up having to go buy air mattresses for the night. I contacted the driver to ask what time they would arrive in the morning only to find out that they 'had an issue with their electronic driving log' and had to stop early for the night resulting in them not being able to arrive until late afternoon between 3 and 5. 6:15 that evening they finally show up and asked for the remainder of the payment, which was twice the amount that I was quoted, before they could unload. 'Company policy'. We were unloading until 1230am. Now that we've unboxed most of our stuff, we now see that they didn't care about our things. I watched them drop our 60' flat screen TV to which the guy said 'it's wrapped up, it should be fine.' It is now garbage. Several of our boxes were just tossed into the truck, flipped over, turned all around, and contents spilled.

All this to say that if I ever move again, I'm renting a uhaul.

Review:

I am pretty sure all of the 5 star reviews are fake for this company. If you look there is only 5 star and 1 star reviews. They are a scam. They charge you way more than was quoted and won't give any refunds. They ask for cash or they keep your stuff ransom. Late by 2 days. I can't believe they are not shut down.

Review:

They broke some of my furniture, were late on my pick-up and delivery, provided no customer service, and my move in date was 01/09/2018 and they still have not delivered items that they 'forgot' at the warehouse and it is now 01/23/2018. They actually made an attempt to deliver my items last night but messed it up because they sent the drivers to my home to pick up and not drop my items off. Please do not use this company under any circumstances.
