Davitt Design Build highly recommends Arpin of West Warwick, R.I., moving and storage services. Gayle & Gabrielle in the office are a tremendous resource and so helpful. The company recently assisted Davitt Design Build by storing and moving an abundance of furnishings into a newly renovated home in Narragansett, R.I. Team leader Scott B., along with Pierre A., John T., and Tristian were assigned to the job. Scott exemplified great leadership, the team moved the furnishings quickly and efficiently. They consistently communicated well with the Davitt design team during the process of moving the furnishings, day of delivery, and post-delivery. The team was punctual, professional, respectful, careful, and courteous. They wore booties and utilized furniture pads to protect the flooring, amongst other things. Arpin has been a great partner and Davitt Design Build plans to continue to utilize their services.
I was hesitant to write this post, but a mover on the Arpin team that handled my household goods delivery last week stole $300 cash and a pair of AirPods Max, and I have been really disappointed in Arpin’s handling of the situation. There is currently an active police investigation, but I called Arpin twice and they basically said they aren’t doing anything about it internally until the police contacts them. Meanwhile this person is going into other people’s homes and could be stealing other people’s belongings. I’m not one to jump to accusations. I knew the cash was missing on the day of the move, and I discovered the headphones were missing the next morning. I assumed I had misplaced both until I opened “Find my devices” seven days later to look for another Apple device, and I saw that my AirPods Max were located in Central Falls the day after the move. I have not been to Central Falls, and no one else has been in my house. The only way my headphones could have gotten to Central Falls is if the movers stole them. And Arpin doesn’t seem to care that this person is still going into other people’s homes.
After getting fed up with the third degree from the guy on the phone I felt I couldn't trust this company. They want to send someone else over to inspect the job before even giving a quote. The job was to move a couch from the Thrift Store to my apartment less than one mile away. Won't use this company in the future.
