John was very responsive when sending quote and invoice. Right after that, it became a different story. You might be able to see on the pictures how he has been extremely performant at destroying a $4000 antique chair. He delivered it 6 weeks behind schedule, always told me that I should trust him, and finally delivered a broken chair to my client without telling me anything. Probably thinking that he could get away with it and the insurance that, I assume he doen'st have..
He obviously doesn't recognized the damages. This gonna end in court.

Be forewarned, you're taking a huge risk if you use Baystate Express. The owner was super communicative until I accepted his bid and my credit card was charged. Then, radio silence. He never answered my calls, and did not show up or call on the pickup date we agreed on. The next day, his phone was disconnected when. I ended up cancelling the shipment through the third party website I used. Then he started sending me a series of angry texts claiming I needed to pay him a cancellation fee. This is a borderline scam.

John and Baystate worked great for us. We've had some horrible experiences with movers, this year so when we ordered a couple of chairs from Charish and didn't hear anything for a couple months we just figured they were another scam. No such thing!! John got his truck through the worst snow store in Olympia in many years (...and I'm originally a New Englander, it was a pretty serious storm, even by N.H. standards) and dropped those chairs right on our doorstep. Only 4 stars because communication could have been better. But getting those chairs here, pretty close to on schedule, through that weather is an *easy* 4. Thanks John!
