Martin was extremely difficult to work. We had two deliveries, both scheduled for weeks out because he has little to no staff. The second delivery date was so far out we rented a truck to pick up our items. Although he had agreed the day before to be there upon arrival he was two hours away making us wait.

Firstly, I used Martin for a move six months ago and things went smoothly and I was impressed by his help. When it came time to move again, I contacted him and he reserved the date for me. Days before the move I emailed to confirm and ask for an estimate (small local move). I didn't hear back until the day before our move was scheduled, and he said the price was higher that my first move - even though the distance was much shorter (less than a mile) and we'd moved half our possessions ourselves. With only a day to go I had no choice to go with Martin, but asked if we could go for an hourly rate because it would be such a short move. I never heard back. He didn't show on the day of the move, but his movers did a fine job. They said they had to collect $650 cash once the move was complete. I tried to call Martin and of course he didn't answer my call. The move only took ONE HOUR! He has since never returned my calls and messages. Rip off and unprofessional. I would have appreciated a call back at least, if not a negotiated price once he saw what a small and easy move it was.

Martin and his team are a fun yet professional outfit to work with. Always on time and excellent communicators!

If I could I would leave this place a negative star. But of course, that's not an option so I'll go ahead and give it one star... Martin, the owner's husband, is so rude and disrespectful. Acts like he is superior than other people. Always making rude comments and can't even respect his employee's confidential information. Says he will pay correctly but can't even add up the hours one works. And not to mention breaks or lunches, doesn't like to give the proper breaks and lunches but is sure to take that off the pay check. If you're one of those people who actually cares about the company's mission statement and their employers, then look for another place, they treat them unfairly and I doubt he knows what working as a team means.

We were extremely happy with Central Coast Movers in Watsonville. They went above and beyond in every aspect of our move. They arrived on time, prepared and ready to move us, even in the pouring rain! They were priced reasonably, it was the best money I ever spent! My husband was thankful he didn’t have to break his back!
