Our move was from a single family home in Chicago to an apartment in New York City in March 2022. Krystian, the sales manager, worked closely with us from the time of the original estimate through the loading of the truck bound for NYC. The contrast between the service offered to us by Bernard Movers and that of other companies we considered was really dramatic. Even though we were moving the contents of a three-story house, Krystian expressed confidence that it could all be moved to NYC in the truck packed at our house in Chicago, without having to be transferred to a larger interstate van and then moved once more to a smaller truck in NYC. None of the other companies we were considering offered this degree of service. Sure enough, Bernard Movers delivered exactly as promised! Krystian even circled back to our house after the truck had been loaded to offer to transport an additional heavy item that had not been part of the official quote, but for which it turned out he could accommodate after weighing the original load--truly remarkable service! Communication was excellent, down to the arrival time of the driver, Frank, in NYC. To be balanced in this review, it's only fair to point out that there is necessarily a trade-off in a single-truck move vs the more common sequence of three trucks: Only the two movers who drove from Chicago were available to handle the move-in in NYC, and this took considerably longer than if there had been a larger NYC crew performing this part of the job. But I believe this approach proved itself to be an excellent choice, because it assured that only Frank and his helper would be handling our furniture--and their meticulous and super friendly work would have been difficult to match. Bernard Movers provided us first-class service in every measure for this move!!

We had a complex 3 household move (in 1 day) and Bernard movers truly delivered. They worked with us on changing the dates multiple times, they were helpful and consistently courteous. On the day of the move, the moving team ADAM, FREDDY, BIG JUAN, ALBERTO, LUIS AND LIL'FREDDY were wonderful. It was so cold and snowy but they did not miss a beat. They literally worked for 10 hours straight, practically without stopping through horrible conditions. They were so mindful of our belongings and our home. They were friendly and fun yet so professional and hardworking. I could not recommend Bernard movers and this group of hardworking gentlemen more!

My wife and I used Bernard Movers for our move today, which involved transporting all of our belongings from a third floor walk up to a townhouse in the middle of winter. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement - the moving crew was speedy, skillful, and filled with positive energy. The move was completed at almost half of the estimated time and cost, too! I was blown away by the communication, organization, and professionalism of the crew. The entire process was as smooth and painless as a move could possibly be, I will definitely be using Bernard Movers for any future moves!

I feel very fortunate to have found Bernard Movers for my long-distance move! They were consistently responsive and helpful with planning and scheduling, and the movers both in Chicago and at my destination were extremely professional, very careful with my items - including excellent wrapping of my large furniture - friendly, and efficient. Overall, a very affordable price compared to other alternatives, and the quality was top-notch! I'm only bummed I've left Chicago and so can't use them for my next move.
