Black Tie Moving

There was some confusion with our move. We booked 3 guys at 8am on a Sunday. 2 guys finally showed up around 10:30. The guys who did show up were good, did everything we asked and were pretty careful with our stuff. No major complaints after the rocky start

Whatever you do please do not use Black tie. I was quoted 600 for 2 hours any overtime past 2 hours would be 185 an hour. All I had was 2 beds one queen and 1 king, 2 dressers, and 3 tvs. It took 3 hours for them to even get finished with just the apartment. New house was 20 minutes to drive to took them 45 to get there I had already unloaded my truck full of items into the house. In total took them 6 hours and charged me 1400$ after all said and done. Also threw in random charges for boxing tvs and putting coverage on beds that I was not informed on movers just threw them on and did not ask me. Lo and behold charged over double. My love from Florida to Nashville cost less than a 20 minute move. I am alsi not someone who ever leaves negative reviews if a review at all, but this situation I would not want this to happen to anyone. Especially with how expensive it is just getting into a house.

The poor moving experience that continues to worsen.

First they did a poor job of moving my items. Taking an excessive amount of time to move a one bedroom apartment. They damaged not only the unit, but multiple pieces of furniture. I first submitted a one star review as soon as the move was over, but they reached out and appeared to be working in good faith to right the wrongs of my experience. As such I had deleted the review and was waiting to see how this was resolved. Unfortunately things have now gotten worse with the team making up that I told them to not wrap my items, so they’re claiming no liability for any of the damage now.

Movers are supposed to make a stressful situation less stressful. I can assure you, you will receive the opposite experience. Do not give these people your business or your money. You will regret it. I know I do

Second time using Black Tie, could not recommend further! Both moves were logistical nightmares turned into easy afternoons for myself. Had 3 very nice guys help out yesterday, Oscar, Decoda, and Isaiah, their team lead. Isaiah alone broke down my bed and furniture quickly, safely, and efficiently. We were done in about 2 hours with zero headaches and the final price coming in hundreds under the estimate. Stellar professionalism, will not be having anyone else move my art and items!

EDIT: Upon realizing 3 bubble wrapped mirrors were missing from the move, Operations Manager and Isaiah were quick to provide a resolution. Can’t get more 5 star I’m afraid.
