Black Tie Moving

I had the pleasure of receiving my relocation assistance with Victor and James. They both did and outstanding job and with great energy. Very respectful young men with a non-stop motor. My family was extremely privileged to have Black Tie Moving relocate us from Nashville to Atlanta. I would use them again for future moves!

The absolute worst service in so many ways. Saying they were going to pack us up in one day, only stopping half a day because they didn’t have enough packing materials. Eight guys show up to pack and an hour later 3 guys are missing. Packing up the trucks, but only partially filled because today they don’t have head lights and have to finish early. The 2 day move turned into 4 days. The damage to our furniture and missing items is another $4000 story. We do not recommend them at all.

A year ago we had Black Tie move most of our furniture to a storage unit, a large item to my daughter's house, and the rest to a condo where we lived while our new house was being built. The company representative was lovely on the phone, and the estimate was fair. The workmen were polite, but they had no idea how to wrap and protect furniture. At least one smelled distinctly of marijuana. They put strapping tape directly on two mahogany pieces. They gouged holes in our hardwood floors by not protecting them. They even broke off tree branches driving through the neighborhood. When they came to the condo, they dropped and broke a coffee table right in front of me. Management did respond by sending a repair guy to my daughter's house to fix the damage on her item. Last month we hired a different company who emptied the storage unit, unwrapping and re-wrapping furniture as my husband watched. A leg was broken on an antique table and on a sofa, and the stretcher under an upholstered bench was shattered. The veneer on the shoulders of our upright piano was shattered, and the sides of the piano were crushed by the restraining belt being tightened without protection. I expected some minor damage, but this amount was avoidable and disappointing. I wish the company well, but I hope that they will invest in training their crews.
