Black Tie Moving

Do NOT use this company! Scratched furniture, broken glass top, multiple dents on my refrigerator. They didn't even have an appliance handtruck.They showed up 1 hour late, moved slowly. Not enough blankets to cover furniture, left empty tape and wrap rolls all over house and garage. It took 4 men 10 hours to move a 2 bedroom house of furniture. Their truck broke down and sat in front of my house for 24 hours before it was hauled off. I called and filed a claim and have heard nothing else.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. It's a complete scam and not a legitimate moving company. Check out their 1 star reviews on Yelp and do not waste your time with them.

Despite marketing themselves as the best move you will ever have this was by far the worst move I have ever had. The initial estimate process seemed great and I listed out all the rooms and furniture in my house. The agent gave me a great rate that seemed competitive.

On moving day they were late and understaffed. One employee forgot shoes and had to go home to get some. Carl, an area manager, admitted they dont have great movers on Sundays and said our lead canceled. Another guy showed up midday for an hour with his wife yelling at him. They knocked a hole out of our door and were extremely slow. They did not take care to wrap some furniture causing significant damage. They promised two extra movers to help improve things and they never showed up.

They were unable to rebuild beds leaving my kids without beds to sleep in. The workers complained all day about working for this company. Apparently corporate way undersells moves to get them and then screws over the movers and the customer.

Additionally they left blankets and tons of trash behind. Chocolate wrappers from snacks they had were thrown on the ground. Mattresses were not in mattress covers causing rips.

Hiring them will be the worst decision you make and will cause your family significant frustration and losses. These are beyond a couple moving mistakes. It is complete negligence and incompetence. Stay away at all costs.
