Brimfield Economy Self Storage

The new ownership Ed is very kind and helpful, with it being paid in cash drop offs I have gotten behind a couple times he is always understanding and willing to help. We have had no problems with this storage facility and will continue to stay with them as long as my family needs.

I'd stay away from Brimfield Economy Storage and find a storage place with a longer grace period, modern payment methods, and a little compassion.

Admittedly, I fell behind here and there on my unit because it's not convenient needing to drop off a check (many people don't even have checks anymore) in person vs paying online or via an auto pay. This is 2023, not 1983. However, I always caught it up. I had my unit for over 7 years. I lost my father last year after a 3 year battle with cancer, and the unit had a lot of memories inside. My mom had a heart attack a couple of months ago. Unbeknownst to me, as I never received a notice, the owner auctioned off my unit with my dad's things inside. They are now lost forever. I don't have the heart to tell my mom. You'd think that after receiving well over $7,000 from me in the past, he'd be a little more gracious. I had even dropped off a check for the full amount of back rent but he had sold the unit without my knowledge or being given notice. Fingers crossed the unit sits empty and he loses money on it, especially since he had someone, me, paying on it diligently for the past 7 years.

He was legally able to do what he did but it doesn't make it ethical. I hope he loses sleep over it but undoubtedly he'll sleep like a baby... after all, it wasn't his dad's things or his mom that was in the hospital.

To reiterate, stay far away from Brimfield Economy Storage. I thought going to a small business where the owner is the one you talk to would be better. It's not. Go for the chains, like a Uhaul or something. They are large and impersonal but it doesn't really matter and at least you can use a payment method the Flintstones wouldn't be familiar with...

Some minor hiccups with access but the owner almost always answers the phone number and is quick to be there if needed.
