Booked a moving service via the website “book online link”. Confirmation email and text were sent PLUS the service charge was taken from the account as soon as I booked it. I had no issue with all of that above. I assume that was the protocol. The day before the service I received an text confirming my booking with Darryl. The day of the service no one showed up at 1pm(the time of the booking). I called the number provided and Darryl picked up and was rude. He blamed me the customer for booking online with his company and insinuating multiple times that I was stupid. He continued to argue with me about the booking and saying I didn’t book the service even though his company took the money out of my account, sent a confirmation email and text. Sir I understand it was New Years Eve and you didn’t want to work, that’s all you had to say. I would have preferred the honesty of you not wanting to work instead of berating your customer for booking online since clearly you do not have a actual location. The location online is non/operable apparently! Save your money and go find another black owned business where ppl know how use their website.

This was my first time using this company and I thoroughly enjoyed the service. My furniture and items were handled with great care and properly protected . They were quick, efficient and very kind and professional which was an added bonus.

Moving is always a stressful time for me, and they definitely made this experience a pleasant one.

We recently moved to the DC area and used Capitol Hill Haulers for both moving purposes, as well as for mounting our two TVs. We had James Jenifer and his partner Dewayne help unload our U-Haul and take everything up to our apartment. They were so incredibly fast and had our entire 15 foot U-Haul unloaded and in our apartment in an hour. They brought a ton of extra equipment to make the process go as fast as possible and were super careful with our stuff. I really can’t say enough good things about them and will absolutely use them when moving again. We had Darryl Gilchrist do out TV mounting. He was so flexible is scheduling to come over as soon as possible to get the job done. He also was EXTREMELY knowledgeable in making sure it was done correctly. He was extremely quick and efficient, and we couldn’t have asked for a better more professional service. Lastly, they were BY FAR the most affordable place for both our TV mounting and moving. I called around to 5 different moving companies and they had the best rate, and since we were using them for both moving and TV mounting, they gave us a discount on the mounting fee. I just cannot say enough good things about them. I would recommend them to anyone looking for any type of moving/handy man service. We will absolutely be using them again in the future.
