Careful Movers

Name says it all. Very good

Very smooth move! I was really apprehensive about moving, and worried a lot about boxes getting to the wrong room, but the movers sorted things as they came off the truck without having to be asked or monitored. They loaded their truck in such a way to minimize risk to my belongings, and opted for a second trip rather than stuffing-and-crushing. I haven't come across a single damaged item or a box out of place - wow! They knew I was very stressed when they arrived in the morning, but within a few hours they had me laughing - these are some funny guys! The only hitch was minor; when I had called to arrange the move, I did my best to describe the volume of items to move and the challenges they'd face with sloped yard etc, so in hindsight it would have been better to insist on a site-visit to choose the right amount of movers in the crew. The crew of 2 really had a much more challenging job than they'd expected, but somehow pulled it off with a positive attitude throughout, and even at the end of the long day were still offering to shift items or move large furniture to different rooms after I realized my original floorplan wasn't going to work. Highly recommended!

Well they behaved as if they were professional but were an hour late. Never apologized and blamed it on GPS when they told me they were familiar with the area a week ago. Actually was lucky that Uhaul was late too. Then changed the service fee to come to our area. I don't know, wasn't very impressed and felt like I was getting hustled to an extent. Get everything in writing!

Well, this review isn't about Careful Movers performance of moving us. Unfortunately, it never got that far! We had reserved them for an upcoming move, had a plan in place. Now, just under 2 weeks before we have to move, they decided the agreed upon plan wasn't going to work. My husband called him on it, and he, Careful Movers Owner, HUNG UP ON MY HUSBAND!! Instead of coming up with another plan!! Then when we tried to call back to see if we could resolve the time frame, or whatever was the problem, he had our number blocked!!! I really didn't expect this from them, I, and my husband were floored!! This whole moving thing has been so stressful, and we were hoping Careful Movers was going to be on our side. WRONG!!! I really wouldn't give them even 1 star, but I couldn't post without making a choice of stars! Our friends who referred them can't believe it either! I'm sure they won't refer them any more!
