It pains me to give Caring Transitions of Northwest Indiana a 1-star review. I hired them to manage an estate sale for my parent’s home, and they left the place trashed. Garbage was on the floor, expensive clothes and purses were thrown all over place, the carpet turned black, a window grill was removed for no reason, etc. For all of this disregard and disrespect of the property, there was no apology and the franchise owner walked away with the bulk of the money. Do not ever use this low-brow firm. You are better off donating or managing the sale yourself.
Horrific, sad and tragic that I hired Caring Transitions of
Seminole, Angel Martin, aka Angel Touches. She took our money and damaged/shattered $5K worth of my mother's vintage treasures and collectibles that I hired her to pack and ship to our home. Irreplaceable, vintage treasured items that arrived broken/shattered and so unbelievable poorly wrapped with flimsy packing materials. She basically stole the many Waterford, Belleek, Lenox, Lladro, etc items that our family wanted to have after my mother suddenly passed away. She is a predator and took advantage of us when we were grieving, had limited time, and trusted her unfortunately to do a job that needed to be done. Please do not hire her....run the other way and do not let her touch anything of value to you....she will destroy it with her carelessness and disregard for your family's treasures.
Cincinnati East Caring Transitions has profoundly caring people that always put the client first and take great care of so many people who are often in the most difficult time of their lives. When an estate leads to an auction, they constantly look for ways to give the best outcome for both sellers and buyers as well. I'd trust them with my parents.
Imagine this... You have 15 brand new items that are currently selling for $31 each on Amazon. However, Caring Transitions of Scottsdale failed to do them justice. They took a poor picture of a brown cardboard box and neglected to mention that the items were brand new, what was inside the box, or their selling price on Amazon. Their behavior was unacceptable, and bordered on being criminal. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. I had 2000 items in storage from a store that closed, and they did the same horrible job with hundreds of other items, many of which were sold for $1-$2. Cedric Wade promised to get a good price for the items; otherwise, I never would have let him sell them. At one point, he even guaranteed me a certain amount, but he failed to honor his guarantee. On top of that, they charged me additional fees that we never discussed, and they refused to provide me with receipts. As you can imagine, I would not recommend Caring Transitions of Scottsdale.
