The movers were incredibly punctual and handled everything with care. Good price compared to larger moving companies like Roadway. If I move in Los Angeles again I will definitely use Carole and Jans

This review is based on the customer service of the company, and not the actual moving service itself. In summary, they were not responsive and not professional and clearly have some communication issues within their company.

Just wanted to give others a heads up on what my experience was like with this company. This is only my own personal experience and I understand that people have bad days and miscommunication within companies happens. My friend did have a good experience with this company and so did some of the other reviewers here, so hopefully my experience was not the norm for them.

I contacted this moving company 3 weeks ago to get a quote for a residential move. We scheduled a time for them to come out and look at what needed to be moved. The woman who showed up at our house had a really bad attitude - she was rude, abrasive and just not customer oriented at all. I talked to my friend who referred this company to us to tell her that I was so turned off by this woman, but she told me she had the same experience, but not to worry as that woman is not the woman doing the move and the company is good. Two weeks went by and I didn't hear anything from them. I wasn't super eager to follow up with them because of my initial experience, but since I needed to make a final decision on which company I was going to hire, I contacted them (via text) to find out when I was going to actually get a quote. I was somewhat surprised at how high the quotes of the other two companies were, so was hoping maybe this company's quote would come in lower.

I didn't hear from them for another week, so I followed up with an email instead of text. The response I got in the email was that they have been waiting for my delivery address and moving dates and that she needed that info to complete the estimate. I responded with telling them that I had NO IDEA that they were waiting for anything from me and that they should have called or e-mailed me to let me know they needed more info. I gave them the info they asked for so that we could finally get the estimate. After I e-mailed them that info, I received a text with the quote because they said they didn't have my e-mail address (even though I literally just emailed them earlier today!). They also said they didn't have time anytime the week of my target move-in date. They could have suggested another date that they are available, but perhaps they don't have any availability for the next few months. They must be doing something right if they are so busy despite poor customer service. Their quote was not any cheaper than the two other moving companies I also spoke with. The other two companies were also able to give me quotes within a few days of the site visit as well, so it made the decision much easier to choose another company.

In summary, this company was just unfortunately not the right fit for our family.

I've stored my studio materials and my collections with a few businesses over the years. Carole and Jan's is by far the best. Its like working with your neighbors - they do everything right and they really care about you.

Great facility. Great team. Great rates. Highly recommended.
