Chavis Mobile Home Movers

The father and the son (Jr) both promised to come give me an estimate for 6-8 months then stop answering my calls and text after asking me send them info needed to do type mobile home moving estimate. Then later answers phone after months wanting 1/2 up front.

Wish I could give negative stars. This man destroyed our home so bad that it couldn't be moved just 3 miles down the road. He didn't even make it 30 feet before he almost flipped it over then dropped it to the ground causing damage to the frame an alot more inside to the ceiling, windows, doors, sheetrock, and more. Then he left it wide open in 2 separate pieces for months for mold to grow in it. He stopped answering calls and took off with our 5000 deposit. Our insurance adjuster considered it a total loss. This is our home that were living in and still making payments on. LLR did nothing, our insurance did nothing since it was his fault. He lied and told use he had a huge insurance policy to cover any damages that could possibly happen. He talked all big and we believed him which was our mistake. We messed up by not reading the fine print on the receipt/ contract that basically says he isn't responsible. By the way no one could confirm he actually has insurance and he we found out it isn't required for him to have any in SC. Stay far away from this crook. He also has a history of doing things like this but we found out too late.

I called, and they told me they would call me back and never did

Chavis moved a mobile home across the road from me and has left insulation and siding all over the place. Threw siding on both sides of our road. When I contacted them, I was cussed out and told to clean it up myself. I will be contacting Berkeley County code enforcement and the EPA in the am. All they had to do was respond in a professional way. That seemed WAAAAAY beyond what they could do. I'd never recommend Chavis.

Chavis took my money and tore my house up in the process, he is a cook and Berkeley county government issues him permits cause he has a friend there so he can get whatever permits he wants. I even went to labor, licensing and regulations board, the manufacturing housing board asked the case be dismissed. And it was. He has friends. There too. Call Mr Ravenel or anybody else. Jimmy Chavis will steal, rip, or destroy your home. Read the Google reviews, he has hundreds of reviews. None good.
