We’ve moved five times in the past four years using both national and local movers. Hands down Checkmate Moving is the best, most professional, most caring moving company we’ve worked with. All Checkmate’s packers and movers were courteous, informative, helpful and knew what they were doing throughout the process. Checkmate made the whole packing and moving experience far less stressful. We highly recommend Checkmate.

I needed a couch moved from the basement a couple of floors up. Not a traditional move for sure, and not very profitable for the moving company, I imagine. Jared at Checkmate was honest and respectful, then pointed me in the right direction to a company that does smaller jobs. Checkmate was the second company that I called for a quote. The first company I called, not so much. The representative tried to 'pressure sale' me into committing on the phone with him, 'because no other company will take a small job like that...' I will use Checkmate in the future based on their professionalism alone. Thank You, Jared. Catch you guys down the road.

About 7 years ago, I gave glowing reviews after they moved my parents, and I've referred All my neighbors to them. Naturally, then, when we needed to temporarily move out to replace all the flooring, we called them. A man named 'Robbie' came to give us an estimate. 4 days later, we were told our house was 'unsanitary,' so they would not move us. This is absolutely insane!!! We operate a business here, have numerous people in and out of our house, etc. There is NO WAY anyone would describe our house as unsanitary. This company even moved furniture into our house in the past without any problems. Robbie may have a phobia about animals, or maybe he thought we expected them to move the guinea pigs, bird or cat pans. In any of these cases, he should have asked. I can't believe this company has fallen to such an unprofessional level. The next company we called had no issues at all, responded quickly, and will meet our needs. They laughed when we told them someone said our house was unsanitary.

We really enjoyed Chris and his team. I would recommend them to people looking for movers. They were kind, helpful and quick.
