This was our 2nd move in 1 year, as we moved from NE Tennessee to GA and then back to our home in NE Tennessee. We spend over $20,000 combined. We had issues on both moves. Our sales person Josh was part of the problem. Both moves. The first move the issues were lack of communication with Josh. Same on the 2nd move. We let it go on the first move. On the 2nd move, when I called Josh to book, I informed him the move was basically the same inventory minus a queen bad, end table, and some patio modular furniture. They did not pack us on the 2nd move, however I did call and request packing of 4 flat screen tv's and a 60 round 2 inch thick glass table table top for my kitchen table. He told me the price, we agreed upon it. The day of the move, the movers show up with a box truck and no packaging for the tv's, they said it was not on the order but they would do their best to pack them and make sure they were packed securely. All of our moves in the past we have always had a 53 foot trailer. The lead guy on our move said it was fine because it holds 11,000 lbs. I knew it would not fit. And half way through, the lead guy knew as well. He informed us a 2nd box truck would come first thing the next morning to load the rest of the inventory. They did show the next day, got it loaded quickly as that was our move out/cleaning day. A day or two later, we get a call that our stuff was taken to a yard in Atlanta and off loaded and then loaded onto a 53 foot trailer and wasnt that great???? I thought so, I guess? It ended up not being a good thing as we had so much damage it was unbelievable. One of the damages was a cracked 50 inch flat screen tv that they were supposed to pack. We also had a heirloom table that we pointed out to please take care of, well that had deep scratches on it. Our coffee table on the corners were chipped (like it was bounced around). A broken desk, and a that 60 round 2inch thick table top, missing. I put a claim in and they tell me that they would not cover the TV because we ended up not paying for the packing fee because they didnt bring the packaging, but packed it anyway. That apparently was on us. Also, the missing table (which retails between ($450 - $550) I was told that because we didnt notice when we did the walk though at the finish of our move, that Coleman was also not liable and would not make restitution. That's crazy because who actually takes inventory of every item, yes we looked but there were so many boxes we didnt think that we would be missing anything that wasnt obvious, like beds, couch, etc. ? What a joke. They did take all the other damaged items I had put on the claim, less the $500 deductable and said they send me a check for $185. They said that there was nobody in our area to fix the table so we are also SOL on that. $185 for broken 50 inch flat screen tv, deeply scratched heirloom table, damaged coffee table, broken desk, and missing 60 inch round glass table top. Needless to say, we will never use this company again and will spread the word LOUD AND CLEAR how we were treated or better yet how our belongings were treated. AGAIN 2 MOVES IN 1 YEAR TOTALING $20,000 and all they can do is a refund of $185. Let me just say this, in 15 years we have move several times for work purposes. I know how to move, I consider myself a professional. I knew that the box truck was going to be a problem and it was. God only knows what happened in Atlanta when they unloaded the box trucks and reloaded onto the 53 ft trailer. In all the moves we have made over the years, we have never had problems this severe. This company does not care, they make the sale and wash their hands clean. Shame on Coleman. I hope you all sleep well at night. Please do not use this company. They will not do right by you.
Excellent and professional service. The process was seamless and they walked me through every step of the way. Their communication and customer service was also top tier. I'll definitely use them again in the future.
Packers did not pack any of my belongings properly. Had to send a second team out to re-do the work of the first team. Wrote on our goods in permanent marker, team members openly complaining about redoing work, member taking the inventory was overly rude about having to be specific when it came to writing descriptions on his inventory.
Samantha was pleasant to deal and interact with. If a VM had to be left, she promptly returned calls and always provided timely responses to our inquiries and the information which we needed. We would recommend your Moving Company to anyone who may be interested in your services.
Sincerely
Thomas and Janet Jarrett
