College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Fort Collins

College Hunks have been very deceitful regarding the cost of removing a single couch. According to their website they will give a free estimate before starting the removal. Sheena Shannon, the General Manager, did nothing of the kind. I wasn't concerned because I marked on their website that I had only one item and saw a cartoon figure of a truck for one item listed as, at most, $125 to remove.
After the couch was removed she came up with a price of $181 - $56 more than listed! I was so shocked and surprised and did try to negotiate a better price. What was I supposed to do? Tell them to bring the couch back to my apartment? Before she quoted me the price she pretended to call a manager for an estimate but, of course, she couldn't reach him. Then she said she was trying to pull up a chart listing costs and, of course, couldn't find that either. The bill was put together on a cell phone with an attached appliance. The bill listed only $181 and no other information was given. Because I have used other moving companies (not junk haulers) I am accustomed to professional appearances and listing of costs, etc.

The more I thought of the deceit the angrier I was with myself for paying for the removal of one 1970s couch. I called and left a message with the owner Clark Kaml and have received no reply. I left a message with the main office in Florida and have heard nothing for 12 days. I definitely believe this is a scamming company and would never recommend them. With every breath I have I tell people of my rotten experience.

I was called 1/2 hour before they showed. They were fast and efficient in moving my furniture from the house to my storage in the pole barn. I would highly recommend and would definitely call again if I needed help. Bonus was they work on Sundays

What a poor business motto! “If there’s a problem with damaged items just don’t do anything until the customer forgets!” We’ve had nothing but trouble trying to get resolution to several issues. It started with the person that gave us a bid on moving cost. They were so far off on the estimate that by the time all was said and done we payed way more than had been estimated. Then it came to damaged to items all kinds of excuses as to why nothing has been done! Now it’s been 6 days since the last attempt to get resolution and nothing! I would not recommend this company to anyone! Stay away!

The College Hunks were absolutely fabulous, efficient and fast. In two hours, they had totally cleared out my shed and my basement and packed a truck with donations, junk, and recyclables. I would definitely use them again! And again!

We've used College Hunks a few times recently as we first moved into our new home, and then to help move out/back in while we were having work done on our home. They were very easy to work with, great pricing, and able to meet our schedule needs. I would highly recommend anyone to College Hunks if they are looking for any help related to moving or junk removal.
