College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Thousand Oaks

Started the process on their website. They scheduled and confirmed via email and text. They never showed up or called about the appointment. I called customer service and was told they would check on the eta and call back. They never called back. 2.5 hours later, I called back and they STILL don't have anything better to offer than 'I see you have an appointment scheduled. I will ask for an update on the eta and call back.' Clearly, a call center in another country and no real customer service. I wasted an entire day waiting for these people, only to be ghosted. DO NOT USE COLLEGE HUNKS!

The H.U.N.K.S saved the day! They showed up as expected with 4 amazing movers (shout out to Amare, Robert, Hunter and Elijah) and packed our POD like you won’t believe. They were really diligent about packing our furniture and fragile items. I had purchased a ton of packing blankets and boy did they use them well! Someone give Robert a medal for Tetris-ing the heck out of the space given. The poor guys worked their ass off to help us move, pack and load the container outside our home all while putting up with our cat hair and dust!

These sound like amazing movers, yes, but how did they save the day, you ask? Well , early on we realized we would need another POD to complete the move. As I scrambled with the company to ensure it was possible given our short timeline, I was able to add a POD but it had to be loaded at their facility. This is where Skyler saved the day and we were able to book the guys the following day to help us finish our move. They came early and loaded their truck and helped pack our additional container at the facility. This day we had Robert and Amare who again worked their magic and managed to load all we had left in the smaller POD we rented! Those guys were superstars! All of them were. Kudos to them for also coming in the uniform.

And the top it all off, they also do junk removal so I didn’t even need to take anything to the dump or schedule a pick up! They donate what’s possible to organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Salvation Army and send you a tax receipt.
