College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving West Pittsburgh

Would give ZERO stars, but had to give one to post this review. I called, explain what I need make a same day appointment, and no one called. No one came. Found another moving service. Highly unprofessional!!!

Our experience with College Hunks was terrible. We had one of their managers come to our house ahead of the move to review each room and take inventory of what needed to be moved. When the crew arrived at our house, they smelled of weed. They did not have any foot covers and tracked mud throughout the house. My husband walked them through the house and showed them what all to take, etc. They said they did not want to take our washer and dryer, and my husband had to call the main line to talk to a manager who said they would have to take it as this was scoped out prior. One person on the crew was on speaker phone with his bank for quite some time and talking to his bank about how his ApplePay was not working. He essentially was just standing around on the phone. This was the same member who said to my husband and I that we 'need to take care of them with a good tip for taking the washer and dryer'. Another member complained to us about taking a heavy piece of furniture and told us that their boss was, 'too nice and should have charged us way more'. When they showed up to our new house, which is a brand-new build, they still did not have on any foot covers. They also showed up close to an hour and half later as they said they stopped to get food. This is understandable but was not communicated to us whatsoever. One member was smoking a cigarette as he was unloading our boxes and tried to walk into our garage with it lit. My husband had to tell him to stop. They also tracked mud and dirt on our brand-new carpeting. My husband had to help them carry our bed up to our bedroom as the team was struggling and scraped our walls and knicked up our banister on the steps. My husband also had to help them carry up our washing machine as they were struggling with that as well. Since the move was taking so much longer than quoted (ended up being about 7.5 hours), and they were tracking mud into the house; my husband ended up telling them to just stack everything in our garage and we would deal with putting boxes into each room. Once they left, we discovered that one of our table lamps was missing. Our dresser was also destroyed and completely scratched and dented. I would not recommend College Hunks in any way, they were totally unprofessional, and we would have been better off just moving everything ourselves.

They did such a great job fremly
