I hired this company for a specific job: to expertly load 3 PODS for a cross state move and months storage. It was a disaster, I was in shock: all my furniture arrived wrecked. Making matters worse was the follow up customer service. My contact person never got back to me. When I finally got a hold of someone at the office, he was very rude and basically brushed me off and didn’t bother getting back to me either. Extremely disappointing. I never expected for the outcome of my move to end up being so unprofessional and for my worst nightmare to come true: paying a lot of money trusting the job will get done as promised, but it isn’t, and the company takes no responsibility. I do not recommend this company.
PS: I am writing this review a year later because there was storage time,
(that had been specified there would in advance), and 2 PODS damage investigations. PODS has just determined that damages were due to improper packing. Everything I personally packed made it intact. The furniture packed and loaded by College Hunks was all damaged. I had put full trust in your company and it ended up being a traumatizing experience.
I worked with Zachary to set up a move from an office building that was proving to be more than I bargained for. He was so fast to respond, very professional and patient while discussing logistics. Unfortunately, there was a change of plans and we did not move forward with their services. I will certainly keep his contact information for future needs and based on their customer service, would highly recommend calling them to help with yours!
We booked this company after reading all the great reviews. We have a 3 month old and moving a crib was our top priority. When we called to book, we were assured 5 times (yes, because we asked 5 times) that the guys are able to disassemble and reassemble the crib. The morning of the move, the guys showed up and said we cannot reassemble the crib, and if we wanted, we can cancel the move! Really? The morning of the move date after we already booked the elevators for both locations, and needed to be out of the apartment. We spoke to customer service at corporate who said someone will be in touch with us to help resolve the fact that we will need to hire someone to reassemble the crib..... we never heard back. Called them several times and the corporate was sending up to franchise and franchise back to corporate. Although they acknowledged that the mistake was on their end, no one took responsibility to reimburse us for the crib assembly. Customer service was disgusting saying “well you were told that the guys can’t reassemble the crib and you chose to proceed with the move”. Yeah, because we were completely stranded, the morning of the move, with a 3 month old!!! Instead of resolving the issue, they just passed the blame back and forth. I’ve never encountered such poor communication or company that takes no ownership of their mistakes. Oh, we should feel better that they fired the original customer service person who promised us that the crib was going to be reassembled? You need to train your people better. Instead of remedying the problem, sweep it under a rug, until the next person moving with an infant comes along, and you can lie to them as well about moving the crib.
PS: we have spent over 4 hours on the phone with both corporate management and franchise to resolve this issue, and instead of fixing the problem, each party kept blaming the other without actually offering us any solutions or advice. No thanks! We’re not wasting any more of our time calling you.
Paco and Sherrard were amazing. They took a bad fridge from our kitchen and helped get our new one installed. Full sized fridge, apartment sized kitchen do not make easy work. But they stayed to the end, took off the doors for both removal and installation. Friendly competent and professional Highly recommend!
