They nickel & dimed us to an extreme extent. We paid for full packing yet my husband & I did multiple rooms by ourselves because they were so slow, & they only brought 2 actual movers to pack up + move our entire 2 bedroom apartment so it took over 12 hours even with us helping them the whole time. Absolutely painful experience.
I had a move from California to Colorado that had a few problems. After the move, Colonial reached out to me and did everything that they could to help fix the problems, which was much appreciated.
Great Experience and Highly Recommend!!
I had a great experience with Colonial Van Lines (CVL) for a move from MA to Ok. I had never used a moving company before and on top of that I needed them to pick up from a storage unit and CVL made it happen. The customer service and communication were excellent. They did not make me feel rushed but took their time to help me take inventory of what I have and other supplies and services I might need. There was almost daily communication with staff from the day I signed the contract till the delivery date and afterward. The driver/mover was very very professional, focused, courteous and was in communication with me prior to pickup and through the delivery. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service and would use them again if needed.
UPDATE 02/11: Updating this review to 5 starts after dealing with the resolution department and getting connected to the right people.
BEWARE: Colonial Van Lines is a broker and will hold your home goods hostage after pickup to bid out work at a cheaper dollar until it makes sense for them to ship. Even after contract signed and home goods picked up. It was communicated to me that my job would be shuttled to a van line and start its journey to destination. After 5 days since pickup my home goods have sat in a state further away from where pickup was!! I have called and left voicemails with the account team with little to no information. Continue to get the run around of delivery window this, delivery window that.
I am now accruing additional cost not factored into my move for hotel and stay waiting for Colonial Van Lines to inform me when to expect delivery.
If you are looking to move stay away from brokers. Period.
