Cord Moving and Storage

Everything was wrapped. I had some delicate antique furniture. All objects were carefully handled. The office personnel was particularly helpful. The entire experience could not have been better.

Update in response to owners response: they were all wearing Cord moving shirts. It was John and Darren. I forgot the other guy’s name.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY MY STUFF IS DESTROYED! And they will make you pay in cash to avoid paying taxes.
A guy that works for this company came to my house and bought a dining room table from me. He asked who was moving me and I said I didn’t know yet. He said he could send a couple of guys out that week. The guys came out and the one guy started complaining immediately. He made the other guy come in and tell me if I didn’t hire another guy to come and help he was leaving. Super unprofessional. My movers got here a little while ago to unload the truck and everything behind the box spring started falling over on them. They just threw stuff in the truck and put a box spring in front of it. Most of my stuff is destroyed. I am so upset. And I have no recourse because they forced me to pay in cash which is probably illegal since the company is then avoiding paying taxes. If you value your stuff do not hire this company.

The other less than stellar posts motivated me to share my experience with Cord Moving and Storage as a cautionary tale.
I moved from MO to NJ, using the same company my parents did years ago and my sister only a handful of years prior. I was quoted in MO and signed my agreement with ease. Customer service with Cord Moving and Storage in MO was great and I was excited for the process to move along. In MO, they stored my items waiting for a driver to come to NJ and deliver.
In between the time the crew took my things and stored them and delivered them to my new address, many things were damaged beyond repair.
A metal dining table, display bookshelf, entertainment console, boxes, plasticware, and even decor were all irreparably broken. I made my claim and talked with my moving coordinator and everyone couldn't have been less helpful and empathetic.
I took a high deductible because I was convinced my move would be handled with care. Thousands of dollars of damage and moving costs and I received a measly $150. This company does not do its due diligence to handle your items with care. Beware.

We had an amazing experience with this company. We had Mike and his crew. They were professional, friendly, spoke kindly and respectful, and worked HARD. My husband wants to know where they found this crew because they were hard working, focused, and took such great care of our things.
