CubeSmart Self Storage

If I could give this facility negative 5 stars I would. I recently switched from Cubesmart in Wilton to Westy in Norwalk. I had been a renter of the storage space which is now Cubesmart since 2011. Before they were Cubesmart, they were a much better operations. After Cubesmart took over it became a different company. The female manager, I forgot her name, is the rudest person you can meet. She interrupts you when you are speaking. There is a ridiculous charge for you using credit card and a hefty 10-20% late fee. Then came the flood of August 2024 which cost me about $15,000 worth of damage. They would not allow anyone to access their storage space for nearly a week after it flooded which caused mold damage- hence my $15,000 worth of damage. They built the storage space right next to the Norwalk River so unbeknownst to us, it was only a matter of time before it would flood. And it's only a matter of time before it will flood again. If you are thinking of renting there- run, don't walk, away from Cubesmart. I always felt nervous going to Cubesmart since I felt anyone could sneak in there. Cubesmart on Danbury is not at all secure. They have one person working there most of the time and he/she is in the front office which is nowhere near 90% of the storage spaces. Their employees, except of the black gentleman, runs away from you when you try to speak to them. I had to chase one guy down to have him inspect my space after I moved everything out. I did not trust Cubesmart since I felt they would try to wrongfully charge me for something. After 13 yrs of being a loyal customer, I felt completely betrayed by Cubesmart.

No one answers the phone. I called numerous times, no answer, not even a voicemail

This company calls to confirm appointment numerous times . I confirmed the appointment with cube smart representatives twice. Than I get 5 more calls after to confirm no thanks .
